WWE is making some moves when it comes to future stars in the company. Having found success with their NXT brand once again building stars with the likes of Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes and Tiffany Stratton – WWE is now confident in bringing in some ex-AEW stars.
Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has had the red carpet rolled out for her – while Brian Pillman Jr. has been more lost in the shuffle, but the USA Network is excited for the second generation wrestler.

The USA Network would release the following, hyping up the arrival of Brian Pillman Jr as one of two major signings for the company alongside Jade Cargill.
“The rumours are true: Brian Pillman, Jr. is the latest pro wrestling prodigy to make the jump to WWE! Following in the footsteps of megastar-in-the-making Jade Cargill is Pillman, Jr., who eagle-eyed members of the WWE Universe noticed making a blink-and-you-missed-it appearance during NXT No Mercy on September 30.
It’s yet another savvy signing by WWE as they pluck yet another aspiring Superstar away from the competition and welcome another world-class athlete to the WWE locker room. Here’s why the WWE Universe should be excited for the eventual in-ring debut of Brian Pillman, Jr.!”
USA Network would go on to talk about the legacy his father Brian Pillman left in WWE – and how Pillman Jr. has a chance to pick up where his father left off before his tragic passing in 1997 at just 35 years old.
Pillman Needs The Foundations Of WWE To Succeed
During his time in AEW – Pillman Jr. had failed to progress despite being given big chances. This can be chalked up to AEW simply not having the developmental system that WWE has with NXT, and wasn’t able to give people like Pillman Jr. or Sonny Kiss the needed foundation. However, WWE excels in this category – and Pillman should have no issues reaching his full potential now.
Between his physical gifts, Hall of Fame legacy, and access to the WWE Performance Center and it’s coaches – it’s easy to see him becoming a top name in WWE in time. This was the perfect move for his career – and we can only hope Pillman Jr. quickly proves his doubters wrong.
