According to body language expert Judi James, the alleged conflict between Prince William and Prince Harry was revealed at a ceremony held in honor of the deceased Queen Elizabeth II in the past year.
William Created A ‘Barrier’ Between Him And Harry-Says Judi James
During a thanksgiving ceremony celebrating the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, James claimed that William made a “barrier gesture.”
This event was significant because it was the first time the Duke and Duchess had appeared alongside the rest of the royal family at a public event since they left for the United States.
And as part of the event, the brothers, accompanied by their wives Meghan and Kate, Princess of Wales, were seated at a considerable distance from each other. According to James, as William passed by Harry’s row while leaving the service, he did not acknowledge him at all.
In her comments, she said: “Sucking in his lips and with his chin pulled up in a gesture of resolve he appeared to turn his head in the other direction for a moment, raising his order of service high in a barrier gesture.”
This should not come as a surprise for the following reasons. In Harry’s memoir, Spare, it was clear that the two brothers were not on very good terms.
Harry accused William of shouting and screaming at him during a meeting over Megxit, as well suggesting that the Prince of Wales had assaulted him.
And to make matters even more troubling, Harry’s comments implied that William had a part to play in the Duke’s infamous Nazi uniform scandal. With that being said, it was clear that Harry was not in a comfortable position.
Judi’s following comments confirmed as much: “But otherwise he fell into a haunted eye expression with some rapid blinking to suggest inner anxiety, leaning in and down to Meghan when she spoke as though keen to get some support.”
Despite this being the case, the social media response indicated that William’s actions may have been out of line. This was on the basis that as a future monarch, he should have been the bigger person in order to bring about a reconciliation.
