Finn Balor & Damian Priest were able to take the WWE Tag Team Championships away from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, and tonight face new foes in the form of Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes.

This uneasy alliance was formed when Rhodes pulled some strings to get Uso back into WWE as part of Monday Night RAW, and tonight they look to both earn another reign as Tag Team Champions.

Jey was key in preventing Rhodes from defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania – but they’re ready to co-exist tonight as they face a common enemy.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso Stand United

Uso would start with Priest, being run down with a stiff lariat as the match began. Priest would proceed to drive Uso into the corner, before some body shots.

Uso would hit a right hand to the jaw, before tagging in Rhodes – who applied a side headlock. Priest would shove Rhodes off the ropes, only for Rhodes to slide through his legs and hit the throat thrust.

Uso would get another tag, but was levelled with another big lariat from Priest. Balor would get the tag alongside Rhodes, taking a gutbuster and a delayed suplex.

Uso got the tag to keep the pressure on, but missed a blind tag to Priest who once again beat Uso down. A surfboard stretch would punish the spine of Uso – and when he fought free, he would be yanked down to the mat.

A cheap shot to Rhodes would frustrate The American Nightmare, before Balor would lose control. Rhodes would get the tag, but was blocked as he attempted the CodyCutter.

Balor would hit the Shotgun Dropkick, before trying for the Coup De Grace. Rhodes would recover and hit a Superplex – before a tag to Uso.

A Major Blow To The Judgement Day

Uso would finally meet Priest in the ring and gain the upperhand, hitting a diving crossbody for a two count. Priest would hit the Elevated Flatliner, before trying for the Razors Edge. Uso would slip free before sending Priest & Balor to the floor and hitting a Suicide Dive. Priest would take the Uso Splash in the middle of the ring, but Balor broke the pinfall up.

Rhodes would hit the CodyCutter on Balor, before Uso hit the Spear on Priest. Another Uso Splash would be set – but Dominik Mysterio & Rhea Ripley would rush to ringside.

Uso would take Mysterio out with a superkick, while Ripley distracted Uso. Priest would use this chance to recover in the ring, allowing Judgement Day to remain in control.

A frankensteiner would send Uso into position for the Coup De Grace – with Balor nailing the strike. Rhodes would break the pinfall up, and Uso would get a roll up – but was shoved off into a shot from Priest’s Money In The Bank briefcase – wielded by Rhea Ripley. Uso would manage to kick out, and JD McDonagh would rush the ringside area.

He would accidentally hit Priest in the knee, leading to Cross Rhodes on the announce table. Back in the ring, a combo CodyCutter would land – and Rhodes scored the pinfall to win the tag team championships!

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
