Succeeding the throne of England is not a small feat for anyone and expert fears that Prince Charles may not be there to confirm it.
According to Penny Junor a royal expert, Prince Charles who is the first son of the Queen of England and heir to the British throne is frightened by thoughts of becoming King someday.
Becoming The King of England Remains Prince Charles’ Greatest Nightmare
Although Queen Elizabeth is still very much well and even set to celebrate the 70th year of her reign, the royal expert claims that the very emotional Prince Charles may decline the throne whenever her mother passes on.
She said: “This is a moment that he (Prince Charles) has been dreading all his life.
By achieving the top job, the job he’s been training for and preparing for all these years does inevitably means the death of his mother (Queen Elizabeth II) and he loves his mother very dearly”. Junor continued: “So it’s going to be a very vicious week, moment and I think that I am sure that he is pretty terrified of the whole prospect.
The Royal expert further claimed that Prince Charles may not assume the throne as he will struggle to come to terms with the death of his parents.
She said: “He takes the death of any loved one to heart and I think it would be, it’s devastating for him as it is for anyone who loses a much-loved mother”. Penny Junor’s comments come a few years after talks of Prince Charles steeping down for Prince William first circulated.
Although those reports have since been put to bed and Prince Charles has not taken any step to show that he is not in for the throne, many experts and sources within the royal family still believe that the 73-year monarch may forfeit the throne for his oldest son Prince Williams who is widely loved in England.
For now, the British royal family remains focused on the Queen’s platinum jubilee festivity beginning on 2nd June according to recent information released by Buckingham Palace.
