Hurt Business member Cedric Alexander has had his article vandalized to state that his spouse is tag team partner Shelton Benjamin and that they married this year. Alexander is married to AEW star Big Swole since June 2018.
Wrestlers having their Wikipedia entries vandalized with inaccurate information is nothing new. There was a time when Paul Wight’s article was edited to state that he died October 29, 1995, after Hulk Hogan nudged him off the arena following the monster truck match. However, this continued vandalism just seems so odd and random as it is a reoccurring thing.
A Serial Vandalizer Is Editing in Shelton Benjamin as the Spouse of Cedric Alexander on Wikipedia
Looking at the edit history for Cedric Alexander, there have been a number of constant article disruptions and this particular portion has been vandalized since early last month. On one occasion, it was listed as “Big Swole and Shelton Benjamin”.
Another edit lists Shelton Benjamin as “Shelton Alexander” and yet another since-corrected edit actually went through the extra effort of not only editing the “Spouse” section but also editing the “Personal Life” section to drop Big Swole (Aerial Monroe) to “Shelton Benjamin”.
Obviously, this is a wrestling fan with both fundamental Wikipedia editing skills and a real nut against Cedric Alexander. Oddly enough, they did have that much of a nut against Big Swole or Shelton Benjamin as there doesn’t appear to be any cross-editing to change their “Spouse” or “Personal Life”.
Fortunately, there is an active editing community correcting the vandalism but this is either a dedicated sh**lord, a shipper who really wants their fanfiction to be documented, or someone who has an obsession with a wrestler that they don’t care for at all.
The latter raises the question of “Damn Cedric, what did you do to that person?” As a tandem, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander have won the Raw Tag Team titles once as The Hurt Business defeating The New Day at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2020.
