WWE Raw Results returned as Kevin Owens headed to the ring and talked about how he had a great Christmas and he main evented at the live events on Sunday (don’t look it up, trust him).
Since he’s the only one there tonight, he’s smarter, tougher, and stronger than his opponents.
After promising to win at Day 1, MVP came out to say his piece and he didn’t waste any time in saying Owens’ predictions are wrong.
MVP predicted someone will end up in the Hurt Lock because they’re back in the era of the Almighty One, and Owens still felt good about his odds.
MVP called him an idiot and The Hurt Business came out and flanked MVP.
MVP said he can’t take credit for Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin for being there, and they said Owens is right and even Lashley can’t take on the whole world.
Alexander pointed out Lashley was at his best in the Hurt Business, and MVP said Lashley doesn’t need anything but he’s willing to talk business.
Owens explained their plans for Alexander and Benjamin to beat him up to get the Hurt Business back together.
Kevin Owens vs. Cedric Alexander w/MVP and Shelton Benjamin
MVP joined the announce table while Owens took it to Cedric and hit a cannonball in the corner, then a splash but Cedric rolled to the apron.
Cedric hit a series of strikes and a clothesline on the apron for a pin attempt.
You might say @FightOwensFight is takin' care of business …. Hurt Business.#WWERaw @CedricAlexander @Sheltyb803 pic.twitter.com/49uvGwoaA8

Cedric sent Owens to the floor and hit a suicide dive, then a flatliner for a near pinfall.
Owens hit a popup powerbomb and a stunner for the win.
Benjamin grabbed a mic to challenge Owens, but when he turned around Owens hit him with a stunner.
United States Championship – Damian Priest (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler’s speed paid off early on as he avoided Priest’s attacks as he hit and run. Priest eventually hit a big boot, then he went to work on Ziggler.
Ziggler managed to fight back and get the advantage as he methodically worked over Priest, but ate a reverse elbow and a clothesline to send him to the floor.
Priest followed him out and caught Ziggler mid leap, then threw him into the time keeper’s area.

We came back as Ziggler gained the upper hand and hit a Famouser for a near pinfall.
Priest responded with a series of strikes and a face plant before nailing a Broken Arrow for a near pinfall.
Ziggler countered a chokeslam not a guillotine pin attempt, then he hit a DDT for another near pinfall on Priest.
DQ? Don't care.@ArcherOfInfamy is all about inflicting punishment on @HEELZiggler tonight. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/K8Hk1jllT4

Ziggler mocked Priest to incite him, and once he did Priest unloaded on him and hammered away on Ziggler until he was disqualified.
After rolling Ziggler to the floor, Priest slammed him into the barricade, and then hit a Reckoning on the floor.
Edge has a surprise for the Miz and Maryse, and Eric Bischoff is fine with it
Bischoff started it off by saying it’s great to be in a WWE ring and in the industry, they honor the sanctity of marriage.
He then introduced the Miz and the Miz tripped entering the ring. He then introduced Maryse.
The Miz wasted no time in commemorating his accomplishments of 2021 and promised to dominate Edge and prove the old Edge is gone.
Their wedding vow renewal is meant to close out 2021 with the most positive event positive.
The exchanging vows went by with only a few insults from the Miz, while Maryse professed her love for him and that he’ll show the world he’s way better than Edge at Day 1.
They agreed to stay married and Bischoff proclaimed it to be a beautiful exchange and asked if anyone has objections, but then said “We know how this will turn out.”
First comes love, then comes marriage…
THEN COMES A BROOD BATH COURTESY OF @EdgeRatedR!!! #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/Tuzrm7Nvuu
— WWE (@WWE) December 28, 2021
And Edge’s music started and he came out.
Edge did a quick reminder of Miz’s actions then promised to beat him at Day 1, but first he’s going to embarrass Miz.
He then asked if they wanted this to be a white wedding and the Brood’s music played before black liquid poured down on Miz and Maryse.
This ending segment was a letdown. We’re not sure why, but it just felt flat and uninspired despite everyone putting forth a great effort.
It was great to see Bischoff again and hearing the Brood music always brings back fun memories.
