Josh Duggar still has his wife Anna Duggar in his corner publicly as she has returned to Twitter to defend him.
Anna Duggar Defends Josh on Twitter and Instagram While the Rest of the Family Lets Her Cook
The Duggars are very active on social media but dialed it back during the whole situation with Josh Duggar and his child porn trial. In the aftermath, the Duggars have started to get back on Instagram and Twitter.
Anna Duggar also returned and in her first posts since Josh was convicted she would attempt to defend her husband. Both posts read “There is more to the story” and included a link. The link in question would be a motion filed by Josh Duggar’s legal team to throw the conviction out or run it back in court.
If they were planning to take the case to trial once again, it would help to have something worth reinvestigating and that doesn’t point to running the same defense as last time.
The Family Is Being Quiet on the Josh Situation
It appears that there is a desire to move on with their lives and avoid the mess surrounding Josh Duggar’s conviction. That can be seen in the fact that after a few days none of the family liked, shared, or commented on the posts.
It lets you know that the rest of the Duggars aren’t rocking with the post as they generally show either love on social media. What she got wasn’t love but a cross-platform roasting by followers of the Duggar family. During the trial, there was a good amount of support for Anna but after the details of the case became public and she expressed support for Josh, it’s safe to say that a lot of support diminished.
She made the smart move of turning off Instagram comments but her comments on Twitter pretty much roll her for continuing to defend the convicted Duggar. As a matter of fact, most of her comments are challenging her decision to support him. The top comment sums up the general feeling about all of this:
What more do you need to know? And how can you even stand to stay married to that man. Do you not have anyone that can help you out to get out of that marriage? I hope he gets gel time and a lot of it.
We want to know what you think about this? Do you feel it’s a “stand by your man regardless” situation or should she have gotten out while the getting was good? Let us know!
