The main challenge for the two is the new COVID-19 protocols that are in place. This entirely cuts out in-person visits for who knows how long. On top of that, she has to pay to email or call him. At the moment, Josh Duggar is in solitary confinement awaiting his sentencing at the Washington County Detention Center.
Anna Duggar Can’t Visit Josh Duggar Behind Bars At the Moment Because of COVID Protocols

According to Joy, Anna also has to schedule a day in advance. The calls costing money aren’t the interesting thing here as calls in prison are generally timed and come with fees. In Duggar’s case, it’s $0.25 a minute and has a time limit of 30 minutes.
What surprised me is that emailing Josh in jail costs money with each message costing $5. Now, that’s going to be costly if they’re constantly going back and forth with messages. As for how the family is helping Anna and each other through this time, a source says they’re relying on prayer in hopes that things shake out well for Josh and give everyone strength.
