Queen Elizabeth has been on the British throne for close to 70 years now, and it is expected that soon enough, Prince Charles will ascend the throne. There are a lot of expectations and speculations surrounding the coronation-an event to mark the prince’s ascension to the throne. It is the prince’s wish to streamline the people who would be right by his side on the said day; it’s wondered if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be part of this list or not.
Prince Charles May Want Harry By His Side During Coronation
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to leave the Royal family, they had to let go of certain duties that had been assigned to them. For this reason, a lot of people doubted whether Harry and Meghan would be at Prince Charles’ side during the coronation.
Experts Believe That Prince Charles May Invite Prince Harry And Wife To Coronation
But, in the Royally Us Podcast, Christine Ross-who is a Royal commentator made it clear that for history’s sake, the Prince of Wales may decide to let go of what may be an issue in order to have a full day. “Because of that historical moment where you have Charles, William and George, we’ll probably see them front and center and their families front and center.”
She then added, “I do imagine that Charles will want a larger family group shot of the existing Royal Family, I do think that Harry would be a part of that and Meghan maybe as well if she wanted to be.”
Christine Ross also explains that she can’t say for certain about Meghan Markle because the coronation might be too public a forum for her and she (Meghan) might not want to “put herself in a situation where the British press may speak about her in that way.”
As plans are being made towards Prince Charles‘ coronation which should happen about a year after his ascension, a source said that the Prince of Wales would like his coronation to be “far cheaper” than the Queen’s ceremony.
