Eddie Kingston has some issues with the legendary Chris Jericho. These mainly come from Jericho having Santana & Ortiz stuck under him in AEW – forcing Kingston’s old pals to veer away from their own battles. Things are reaching a fever pitch with AEW Revolution right around the corner, and tonight they’d meet face to face to try and talk their issues out.
Eddie Kingston To Face Chris Jericho At AEW Revolution
Kingston would complain about the security detail, while Jericho brought them to bring peace. Jericho called Kingston a street thug, starting things off on the right foot. However, Kingston just wants to wrestle – and if Jericho doesn’t want to wrestle – Tony Khan should send out two ladies like Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander to have a match.
Jericho would say that when Kingston was coming to AEW, he didn’t know who he was. However when he showed up in AEW – Jericho knew he was something special, all from his debut match with Cody Rhodes and the promo. He was proud of Kingston for finally making it to the bigtime – even if he did it at 38 years old.
By the time Jericho was 38, he travelled the world and was already a multi-time world champion. Kingston doesn’t care about the accomplishments of Jericho, and it all happened because Kingston was not here. He doesn’t kiss ass or lie to get to the top, instead doing things his way – and Kingston will be himself until the day he dies.
Jericho would say that Kingston comes from a family of failures, and that Kingston is scared of going for the big one because of it. At Revolution, if Kingston faces Jericho – he finally gets the Big One, and maybe he won’t choke this time. However, the challenge is there – and if he beats Jericho, he will earn respect.
That said – Kingston wants the real Jericho – not the phony we’ve seen since he lost the AEW World Championship. This is no Mimosa match, it’s a real fight. Jericho will need to turn back the clock, or be eaten alive.
Ricky Starks Joins The Ladder Match
The Face of the Revolution Ladder Match is looking very unique in 2022. To this point, it’s been heavyweights who made their way into the match, with Wardlow, Keith Lee & Powerhouse Hobbs. Tonight, Preston “10” Vance of Dark Order has a chance to join the field, provided he can overcome the FTW Champion – “Absolute” Ricky Starks.
10 would shove Starks off the ropes, before tossing him into the corner for the downward punches. A massive slam would put Starks down for the two count, before being driven into the corner. Starks would hit some shoulder thrusts before getting a near fall on 10.
The pressure was kept on 10, who nailed a shoulder tackle to send Starks to the floor. Back in the ring, Starks would get locked in the Full Nelson – but used the mask of 10 to break free and hit a spear for the win. Will Team Taz get the win at Revolution?
