Solo Sikoa has proven one thing during his time in NXT 2.0 – and that is that he fears no one. This includes The Ring General, GUNTHER. Sikoa would come to the aid of Malcolm Bivens last week, and put himself on a collision course with GUNTHER in the process. They meet tonight in one on one action – the biggest match of Sikoas career.
Lash Legend Doesn’t Play Well With Others
First however, we have some singles action from the women’s division. Amari Miller & Lash Legend had issues with defeating Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray. Legend blind tagged into the match, and was taken down with ease by the two top stars. Tonight, they meet in singles action.
Legend would flaunt her size as she backed Miller into a corner. Miller would slip free, only to be dropped with a pump kick. Legend would bounce the head of Miller through the ropes, before hitting a backbreaker. Miller was bent over the knee of Legend in the middle of the ring, but would free herself with knee strikes.
Legend would run for an elbow drop – but Miller was able to dodge. With the NXT 2.0 crowd behind her, Miller would fight to her feet and set up a springboard moonsault for a two count. Legend would respond with a modified Death Valley Driver, before calling out Nikkita Lyons.
Solo Sikoa Shows His Potential In Clash With GUNTHER
The NXT 2.0 crowd was still chanting ‘WALTER’ as the former NXT UK Champion would hit the ring. Not letting this bother him – GUNTHER would go right after Sikoa and hit one of his chest imploding chops before snapping the neck with his ankles. A big bodyslam would land – before some downward clubbing blows landed.
GUNTHER would take some hits from Sikoa, before running him down with a big boot. A headlock takeover would slow the pace down. Sikoa would fight free and want the Samoan Drop – but failed to keep GUNTHER up, and took a short arm lariat. Single Leg crab was applied, and Sikoa scrambled to the bottom rope.
Sikoa would keep taking the heavy blows of GUNTHER, and was seemingly getting more and more fired up by the second. GUNTHER would finally be taken off his feet with a spinning wheel kick, before the Thrust Kick was blocked. He’d avoid a powerbomb and hit the Samoan Drop. GUNTHER rolled to the outside, but Sikoa came off the apron with a splash.
Back in the ring, he’d hit the thrust kick, before looking for the flying splash. GUNTHER would avoid this and look for the Rear Naked Choke. Jawbreaker would get Sikoa free, only for a chop to the back to head to land. Rear Naked Choke sucked the life from Sikoa, and two powerbombs got the victory.
Bron Breakker To Defend NXT Championship Next Week – Harland Puts A Beating On Anthony
Harland is once again tasked with doing the dirty work of Joe Gacy. After a run in with Draco Anthony in the WWE PC that got heated, Harland tonight will clash with Anthony – and look to add yet another win to his 2022 record. Before this match, a triple threat for the NXT Championship was announced – as Breakker defends against Ciampa & Ziggler next week at “NXT 2.0: Roadblock’.
Harland was quickly putting the pressure on Anthony, hitting some clubbing blows in the corner. He’d bend Anthony over the top turnbuckle, before losing control and taking a shoulder tackle. A simple slam would follow from Harland, getting the quick victory. After the match, Gacy would instruct Harland to pull Anthony up into the most aggressive hug wrestling has ever seen.
