Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
This looks like it’s going to be a fun show with a couple of title matches and Ronda Rousey’s first ever Smackdown match.
So, without further ado, let’s get to the action!
The show started with promos from Paul Heyman about Roman Reigns, then Ronda Rousey and Sonya Deville about their match. The Viking Raiders and Usos followed suit, ad did Ricochet and Sami Zayn.
It’s pretty cool they’re back to doing this type of opening. It brings back pleasant memories of the Attitude Era.
Intercontinental Championship – Sami Zayn (c) vs. Ricochet
Ricochet rolled Zayn up for a near pinfall as soon as the bell rang, and he kept the heat on before Zayn caught him with a clothesline for his own near pinfall.
After a back and forth, Zayn hit a dragon suplex on the apron as we headed to commercial.

Zayn remained in control, but Ricochet exploded for a hurricanrana off the top rope for another near fall. He kept coming so close to winning. Literally by inches.
Zayn caught his next hurricanrana attempt to hit a powerbomb for a near pinfall.
The high impact moves and near pinfalls continued until Zayn knocked Ricochet off the top rope and to the floor.
Johnny Knoxville came out to distract Zayn, and Ricochet took advantage with a awesome looking leg scissors bomb for the win.
Congratulations Ricochet! You deserve it.
Zayn trashed the backstage area, then accused the cameraman of stalking him and told us to follow him to Dallas and WrestleMania to face Knoxville
Austin Theory came out to the ring and confronted Pat McAfee about his podcast and mocked him for thinking Vince likes him, and then pointed out he’s McAfee’s opponent at WrestleMania and he clocked McAfee with the mic and left.
McAfee melted down and blamed Michael Cole for knowing about this and not telling him.

As soon as Carmella put her mask on, Naomi caught her with a kick. Zelina distracted Naomi while she was on the top rope and Carmella took advantage.
Banks took out Queen Zelina on the floor with a meteora into the ring steps while Naomi hit a split legged moonsault for the win.
In a card game backstage, Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss cracked jokes about Drew McIntyre and he headed to the ring.
Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal w/Shanky
They traded shots early on before Mahal hit a kick for a pin attempt.
McIntyre took the fight to Mahal with a belly to belly suplex and neck breaker before Shanky occupied him enough for Mahal to grab him.
McIntyre powered out of a Colossus and hit a Claymore for a quick win. He’s still fun to watch, but WWE Smackdown Results aren’t happy with McIntyre being a mid carder again and we’re waiting for his and Roman Reigns’ feud.
