Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly embroiled in a deep row ever since the Duke of Sussex resigned as a senior member of the royal family and abandoned the UK for life in the US. Although the Duke of Cambridge has not publicly condemned his little brother’s act for once, he has allegedly been very upset about the controversy the resignation has attracted to the royal family and views his brother’s antics as insulting and disrespectful.
After more than two years of the rift that has created lots of tension within the royal family, the two brothers are finally expected to bury the hatchet at the platinum jubilee anniversary celebration of their grandmother billed to hold in June.
How Prince William And Prince Harry’s Rift Started
According to Robert Lacey, a respected royal author, things started to turn ugly between the pair when Prince William tried to stop his junior brother from tying the knot with Meghan Markle. He claimed in his book ‘Battle of the Brothers’, that William felt Harry was moving “too fast” with his new love and tried to stop him from rushing into marrying the former Suits actress.
Prince William And Prince Harry Will Have An Opportunity To End Their Feud
Though Prince Harry defiled his brother’s attempts to foil his marriage plans with Meghan Markle and eventually got married to the talented actress in 2018, many royal enthusiasts maintain that things have not remained the same again since then.
Kingsey Schofield, a royal commentator publicly declared some time ago that “Sadly, I think the only way that things would go back to normal is if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were to separate and Prince Harry returned to the UK solo”, an act almost impossible at the moment.
Prince Harry is highly expected to turn up in the UK for the platinum celebrations of Queen Elizabeth in June in the company of his wife Meghan Markle and two children. Many royal experts are even optimistic that it will also be an opportunity for the Duke of Sussex to make amends with other members of the royal family as his sudden resignation in 2020 reportedly destroyed his relationship with several people within the royal family.
