At AEW Revolution, Eddie Kingston won the big one. He was able to get toe to toe with Chris Jericho, and walked away with the victory via submission. While this victory should have gotten Kingston some respect, Jericho refused to even shake his hand. Tonight on Dynamite, Jericho needs to address Eddie Kingston – and things could get violent.
Eddie Kingston Had Doubts Before AEW Revolution
Jericho would kick the show off, and admitted that Revolution was one of the best nights of his career. He calls it one of the best matches of his career, and perhaps the best from his time in AEW. Kingston awoke something that Jericho thought was gone, but Jericho realises he went back on his word.
In the moment Jericho was frustrated and angry, but acknowledges that Kingston is worthy of his respect. Now, he wants to shake the hand of Kingston, but first Kingston has something to say. On the Friday before Revolution, Kingston was losing to the fears set in his mind by Jericho.
He acknowledged that Jericho was right, that he kept on losing the big one. Kingston however, had six people come up to him at AEW Fanfest, and say that his article for the Player Tribune stopped them from wanting to end their lives. That is what kept him going, and he hopes he did those fans proud.
Chris Jericho Makes Some Changes To The Inner Circle
However in regards to that handshake, it was more for Jericho than Kingston. Kingston pulled out the Jericho he respected, the man known as Lionheart. Jericho would say that Kingston has his respect, and would now offer the handshake. Kingston took it, and in that moment – the music of 2point0 would hit.
2point0 & Daniel Garcia would swarm the ring. Jericho was taken down, and Garica and Matt Lee would beat down Kingston. Santana & Ortiz would make the save – and Garcia was left alone in the middle of the ring… but Jericho would beat down Santana & Ortiz instead!! Jake Hager would hit the ring and ask what the hell Jericho was doing, and took would help to beat down Santana & Jericho!
It seems that Inner Circle has now changed, with Sammy Guevara, Santana & Ortiz out – and Matt Lee, Jeff Parker, and Daniel Garica in! Kingston took a bat to the face, and was powerbombed through the table. They’d shed their Inner Circle gear, and are now the Chris Jericho Appreciation Society.
