Kate Middleton will reportedly try to keep the peace during a potential visit from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Kate Middleton Will Remain Cordial With Meghan Markle If She Visits The UK But Won’t ‘Forget However How Meghan Treated Her’
That is according to Royal expert Ingrid Seward. The primary reason that Ingrid feels there could be tension is because of Meghan’s apparent mistreatment of Kate.
This was most visibly seen during Meghan’s Oprah Winfrey interview in which she stated that Kate had made her cry, while the media portrayed it to be the opposite.
And by Kate not speaking out to confirm the truth, there was a feeling that Kate had acted dishonestly. But for Ingrid, she feels that Kate will put aside any bad feelings for the sake of the Royal family.
In an interview with the Mirror, Ingrid said: “The Duchess of Cambridge will be cordial to Meghan. She has to – that is part of her job.
“Her private feelings have to remain just that. Kate will not forget however how Meghan treated her.” These comments fit in line with how Kate acted during Prince Harry’s visit to Prince Philip’s funeral.
Despite everything that had happened, Kate acted as the peacemaker in order to facilitate the ceremony so that Harry and Prince William could get along without any drama.
This could be seen in this picture where she is standing next to the two brothers as they walk. Much in the same way, Kate will probably do the same again.
Ingrid added: “But she knows there is no point in prolonging a feud that has the opportunity of being repaired.” Despite what Ingrid has had to say, there is still a lot of uncertainty.
First of all, there is no guarantee that Meghan will attend. After all, ever since she left the Royal family in 2020, she has never come back.
Secondly, even if she does return, who knows what Meghan could do. After all, her Oprah interview showed that she is not willing to hold anything back.
Time will tell how a potential interaction between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will go down, and after everything that has happened in the past, we are none the wiser. So there you have it folks. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
