Ladies and gentlemen, WWE SmackDown is most of the way done now as I type this. I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live results from the show as they go! We just saw the conclusion of the other of the two pre-announced matches for the night, this one being a rematch from last week.
Seven days ago, Bayley and Dana Brooke met in a one on one match in which Bayley defeated her in 2:44, quite cleanly and without too much difficulty. As if this now qualifies for a feud at this point, they nonetheless went into a rematch this week. I lamented this as being what they consider a push for people these days, something that particularly will struggle to work given that Dana Brooke has been around for a long time and been treated as a joke for years.

Bayley vs. Dana Brooke
Snapmare from Bayley, hair trip. Big driving knee against the bottom buckle! Stomps her into the corner. Bayley slaps Dana around, calls her stupid. Chokes her in the second rope, Sasha Banks berates her from ringside. Bayley gets her in a chinlock. Back Suplex, Dana escapes, step-up enziguri! Goes up top, Senton, cover, Bayley grabs the bottom rope to escape! Dana drags her up, series of Short-arm Clotheslines, takes her into the corner, Dana literally shouts her own name, handspring back elbow! Ducks an elbow from Bayley, shoulder tackle! Hits the ropes, Cartwheel Splash for a nearfall! Bayley ducks a shot, Facebuster for the win.
Winner: Bayley
Welp. Dana got to do a little more but not much longer of a match and beaten clean as a sheet again.
I come out of this with the same thoughts as I had coming in, Dana is impressive and is worthy of the opportunity but unless they can actually convince people she’s capable of beating Bayley this ain’t gonna work and at no point in this match did people buy in.
