Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown just went off the air as I type this. The show opened with Daniel Bryan coming out to challenge Bray Wyatt, only for the Miz to emerge to plead his case. The two of them were then in turn interrupted by King Corbin, and the segment ended with Dolph Ziggler jumping them from behind, with Ziggler and Corbin leaving them laying.
As these things often do, this situation ended up setting up a tag team match playa. And so, later on in the night in the main event, Dolph Ziggler and King Corbin took on Daniel Bryan and the Miz. I can only assume at some point some time got lost earlier in the show because this main event felt like it went by surprisingly quickly.

Bryan and Miz argue before the match but nonetheless act completely on the same page when the bell rings, charging at their opponents for strikes, and they have a fun spot where they hit every single blow of the Stereo Yes Kicks! Commercial break. When we come back, the heels get the heat segment going, Daniel Bryan is being isolated. Baron tags in, charging clothesline in the corner. Drags him out, shot to the face, working over the left arm of Bryan. Baron takes him up top, Bryan with a headbutt, missile dropkick! Simultaneous tags, Miz throwing hands to Ziggler, takes him into the corner, Miz Clothsline! Big boot deflects Corbin, sliding Sunset Flip for 2, Snap DDT! Corbin breaks up the pin, but eats the Skull Crushing Finale. Ziggler with a Flying DDT! Nearfall. Miz takes Dolph to the mat for the Figure Four Leglock! Bryan with a Buisaku Knee to Corbin… Ziggler surprisingly taps!

Regardless, the babyfaces won without too much difficulty, which is actually sort of a shocking occurrence in WWE when you think about it. And in a baffling bit of logic, the guy who took the fall is the only one involved who wasn’t immediately announced for a major match that will be taking place next week! But I’ll be getting to that one in a moment…
