Following Scott Hall’s passing, the wrestling world poured out their love for him on a personal and professional level.
Triple H, Trish Stratus, Kevin Owens, and more took to social media to share their thoughts, feelings, memories, and well wishes.
Many have touted Hall having one of the best wrestling minds around and how he was key to so many things like coming up with Sting’s Crow gimmick while allegedly saying, “I’m not saying rip of ‘Taker, but rip off ‘Taker.”
As a huge fan of the Fabulous Freebirds, he made the NWO Wolfpack into his version of the historic tag team. But one of his greatest moments was being part of the Outsiders and NWO that launched WCW into the stratosphere and ignited the Monday Night Wars.

Putting them over
Along the way, he helped give start or rebirth to many careers with the biggest arguable being resurrecting Hulk Hogan’s career.
In a passionate speech, Hulk Hogan spoke about his love for Hall.
“He took care of me when I was down and out. Everyone thought Hulkamania was dead. Scott Hall resurrected me. He put me back on the map. I love him so much I can’t even explain it to you.”
Hall’s work impressed everyone he worked with or saw him in action, and Chris Jericho shared his thoughts on his Instagram account.
“What an amazing worker he was in the ring and out! He was One of the biggest stars I’ve encountered during my career….and he was by far the BEST pro wrestler I’ve ever seen to NEVER hold a world title! Love and respect forever.”
Similar to Roddy Piper
Like with Roddy Piper, Scott Hall never held the world championship and it’s something fans would’ve loved to see.
While Piper didn’t get a title for various reasons, there were several concerns about Hall such as could he be trusted as champion with his demons and so on.
But there was another factor in it, and like Piper he didn’t need or necessarily want a championship.
In a PWTorch interview in 2006, Scott Hall said: “The whole World Title thing, it didn’t bother me. I only wanted the money. When you go to the bank, they don’t go. ‘Did you win or did you lose?’ They just want the money. I never really considered myself a mark for the belt, bro. I never really did. I don’t know. To me, it’s always been a business.”
This won’t stop fans from wishing he’d had at least one run, but it’s understandable. In the end, he became a legend through his talent and ability to put others over and we thank him for all the memories.
