It’s 2022 and Hulk Hogan still doesn’t have anyone to handle his social media or prevent him from saying things that will get him dragged online. Or maybe it was the one handling his account who commented on a statement that Hogan didn’t approve—as unlikely as that situation is. The most recent example this time is his account claiming that the COVID-19 vaccination killed Sidney Poitier, Betty White, and Bob Saget.
Hulk Hogan Is Hulk Hogan-ing Again, Dude
On comedian Josh Pray’s Facebook—because of course Hulk Hogan is using Facebook to socialize—a video was posted reacting to his fellow comedian Bob Saget’s death. While many tributes tend to have equally level, empathic reactions and comments, it’s not unusual to run into some conspiracy theory-adjacent comments as well.
Hulk Hogan Dragged For Co-Signing That Bob Saget, Betty White, and Sidney Poitier Died Because of Vaccination on Facebook
Enter the Hulkster! When one commenter replied with “Many directions we can go with this, but I will take jab for $500 Alex,” Hogan’s account co-signed it:
Never mind that both Sidney Poitier and Betty White were both over 90 and natural causes exist, or that Betty White hadn’t received the booster, or that White’s cause of death was linked to a stroke she had less than a week earlier.
After the roasting and backlash, they edited the comment and now it just read “I”. One of the rules of social media is that if you’re a celebrity, influencer, or in any way famous and you post it on the internet, someone will screencap and it will be online even if you delete it.
While his only out on this is to say his social media manager posted the comment, this wouldn’t be the first time Hogan has talked out the side of his neck and his words have gotten onto social media.
There’s the textbook example of destroying a legacy when his sex tape dropped and Hulkster was talking about the rumor that his daughter Brooke was dating a Black man from 2015:
“I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*** some n*****, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n***** worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F****** n*****.”
Hell, the above is an example of the Court sealing the transcript and it still managed to get online. In relation to COVID, he once said that it was “God’s judgment” so maybe it wasn’t his account manager but himself. Ultimately, the stuff that comes out of Hulk Hogan’s and a couple of other older wrestlers’ mouths used to be surprising but now it’s like “Another day that ends ‘y’.”
There has been no comment on the edited comment from Hogan—nor is it really expected any time soon. If this was posted by Hogan’s social media manager then that’s pretty much overstepping their duties since this could harm a brand that has done enough harm to itself already.
