Last week, former NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion A-Kid made his NXT 2.0 debut, defeating KUSHIDA. Now, he’s just one victory away from making it to the biggest show since the 2.0 rebrand, as he’s got a chance to enter the NXT North American Championship ladder match. All he needs to do is defeat Grayson Waller, who will undoubtedly have Sanga lurking at ringside – ready to help solve his problems.
Grayson Waller Is On His Way To Dallas – A-Kid Gets A Second Chance
A-Kid would dodge the starting punch from Waller, before taking him to the mat and picking the ankle. Waller would slip free, before going into a springboard hurricarana. Sanga would shove Waller away from a dive before distracting A-Kid, only for Waller to fail to sneak on him.
Waller would finally get a chance by tossing A-Kid throat first into the middle rope. A-Kid blocked a flapjack with a dropkick, sending Waller to the floor. Waller looked for the Rolling Stunner, only to get blocked into a Rear Naked Choke. A-Kid would get flung off, and would look for a springboard. Russian Leg Sweep counter landed and the second Rolling Stunner got the win.
After the match, Carmelo Hayes would give one last chance to get into the match. Roderick Strong vs. Cameron Grimes vs. A-Kid in a triple threat – next week on NXT 2.0!
The Creed Brothers Are Ready For Gold
The Creed Brothers are furious after being attacked ahead of their tag team title shot. They get a chance for revenge at Stand & Deliver, but tonight have a rematch with Grizzled Young Veterans. GYV are mad they were implicated in the attack on The Creed Brothers – cuz they’d jump them head on.
James Drake & Zack Gibson attacked before the bell – only serving to anger their opponents. Drake would start with Julius Creed, applying a rear naked choke. Julius tried to use a corner to get free, but shoved Drake into a tag.
Gibson would get tossed with a Belly to Belly Suplex, before having to escape a Stretch Muffler. Drake would get another tag – and GYV quickly took Brutus Creed off the apron. GYV would take turns beating Julius down with sharp forearm shots.
Doomsday Device was countered, and Drake landed bad on his knee. A chopblock and an assisted Waterwheel Drop would follow before the sliding lariat for the win. After the match, two men would be tearing down the Diamond Mine locker room – and said this was an extension of the beatdown weeks ago.
