During Wrestlemania 38, there were several celebrity cameos during the event. On both night of the show, there was a match featuring one person who got famous outside of WWE. Both times, they arguably stole the show – especially Logan Paul. Having teamed up with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match.
The Rock Was Impressed By Logan Paul
Looking like a natural in the ring, Logan Paul would even get a chance to nail Rey Mysterio with the Three Amigos and Frog Splash, one of the best heel moves we’ve ever seen a celebrity guest pull off. Across the board, everyone was extremely impressed with Logan Paul – and he’d get praise from none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The Rock would comment the following on a post from Paul.
”Very f’n proud of u. I know the hard work you put in, brother 💪🏾👊🏾.”
A Potential Singles Match Set Up For Paul Going Forward
Following the match, The Miz would turn on Logan Paul. While celebrating their victory, Paul would be dropped with the Skull Crushing Finale – before Miz slipped off from the ring. While this left many fans confused, the intention was clear.
The door is now left wide open for a return for Logan Paul following Wrestlemania 38. While it might be a hard sell to get someone like Paul for a smaller event, if there was a passion there – Paul has a chance to pull off an even better performance.
WWE certainly benefits from the buzz of having Paul on their programming, and he gets to live out childhood dreams in the ring. The Miz is one of the best workers in WWE for this role, having proven over his career to be incredibly safe – and capable of carrying people to solid matches.
Paul showed some athletic skills during the tag team match, and fans hope to atleast see him enter the 2023 Royal Rumble.
