Bron Breakker has only just reclaimed the NXT Championship – but he’s already diving into the deep end of potential challengers. GUNTHER has stepped up and demanded a shop, and now not even 24 hours out from a war of Ziggler? Breakker is taking on The Ring General.

Earlier tonight, cracks would show in the foundation of Imperium – with Fabian Aichner abandoning Marcel Barthel in their tag team match. Now, GUNTHER intends to restore order to his faction, and honour to the NXT Championship.

Since arriving in WWE, GUNTHER has a 24-1 record in singles matches, while Breakker has 24 matches in his career total, and a 16-8 record. The numbers don’t lie, and they spell disaster for Breakker tonight in this main event clash.

    GUNTHER Brings The Fight

These would lock up in the middle of the ring, with GUNTHER driving Breakker to the ropes. A chop to the chest land, before a side headlock takeover. Breakker would counter out, before his face met the boot of GUNTHER.

GUNTHER would stomp down on the back of Breakker, before looking for the sleeper hold. Breakker tossed GUNTHER off, before nailing a big spear. GUNTHER would nearly be hoisted up for the slam, but the shoulder of the champion was giving him issues. A chop from GUNTHER would give Breakker more issues.

On the floor, GUNTHER would drive Breakker shoulder first into the ring post – before focusing on the arm of Breakker in the ring. A headbutt to the back would land, before GUNTHER would hit shoulder to shoulder with Breakker.

Bron Breakker Remains Champion – Next Challenger Emerges?

GUNTHER would start to nail the chest splitting chops – with three dropping Breakker. A German Suplex would follow, before Breakker was able to hit one of his own. Breakker took a chop from GUNTHER and came back with a lariat.

GUNTHER would apply a hammerlock, looking for a submission on Breakker. Breaking free with a body slam, Breakker would follow up with a Belly to Belly Suplex. GUNTHER came back with a shotgun dropkick, powerbomb and flying splash – and Breakker was somehow able to survive and kick out.

Another near fall would come after a heavy lariat – but Breakker was refusing to stay down. GUNTHER went for another splash, but Breakker was able to catch him with a spear. Breakker would try for the slam, but just took another chop.

Sleeper Hold would be applied, but Breakker was able to survive and nail the Military Press powerslam to win the match and remain NXT Champion. After the match, Joe Gacy & Harland had Rick Steiner in a shark cage tied up – setting up his next title defense.

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
