While the event is ultimately there to pay homage to injured military personnel by allowing them to compete against each other, the couple could not help but show how much they were happy to be here.
In the picture here, we can see that they have kissed each other prior to starting their speech. Once that was done, they decided to move onto bigger things.
But by staying on the theme of family, Harry expanded on how his son Archie was already making plans for the future. And one of those included his career aspirations. And by the looks of it, Archie has some big dreams.
In his speech, Harry said: “When I talk to my son Archie about what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it’s an astronaut, other days it’s a pilot — a helicopter pilot obviously — or Kwazii from Octonauts.”
Aside from his children’s aspirations, Harry also made an analogy with the members participating in the games by stressing the importance of being good role models.
And in the form of the military personnel, they are demonstrating to the world that it is possible to overcome serious adversity (medical injuries) and inspire others in the process. And that was the biggest takeaway that Harry had learnt, something which he wanted to pass on.
He added: “I remind him[Archie] that no matter what you want to be when you grow up, it’s your character that matters most, and nothing would make his mum and me prouder.”
The response on social media was mixed. While people praised Harry for his words, they could not help but feel that his actions in kissing Meghan were another attempt at appearing in the headlines. One person wrote: “Netflix crew you got that?”
