Advertisements for this bout said that this is to be one of the most brutal and bloody clashes of the BKFC so far. And they were not far from what happened. I mean, you cannot see this anywhere else. So tense, so brutal, and so intensive that there are no words that can describe it.
The war spreads across two almost complete rounds. The first round is the one that sends chills to the spectator’s bodies with its brutality. Both fighters exchanged knockdowns. The first that went down was Arnold Adams. The shot that brought him there is a powerful left cross to the face by Cleckler.
This could have easily been the end of the fight if Cleckler would have put a little bit more enthusiasm there. Only if he didn’t stop hammering him when he got up. However, that is not the case this time.
BKFC 25 Arnold Adams Against Dillon Cleckler Was A Mini War – Dillon Cleckler Knocked Down And Unresponsive For The Whole Count
Adams is back on his feet, this time to return the ‘favor’ and knockdown Cleckler in the same fashion. The whole round is just crazy full of action. Cleckler after this is cut over his eye and receives several more cuts during the round. His face is totally bloody. The guys fought like crazy. They were not fighting for points, they fought to knock the other out.
Even though both fighters were close point-wise Cleckler wins the first round since he manages to deliver more shots to his opponent and has control of the situation most of the time. However, this is about to change in the second round.
The second round starts aggressively as well. They immediately start blasting each other, but not for long. Only 24 seconds into the second round Dillon Cleckler goes down and does not come back up.
Arnold Adams delivers a hard punch to Dillon’s head and knocks him down for good. Until not undefeated Dillon receives his first loss. And what else can we say? The better man won.
“I’m feeling, I’m feeling pretty good” – Arnold Adams says in the post-fight interview – “Y’all haven’t seen me stopping someone that big and that powerful ever. Since I’ve been here. But finally, I got it done tonight.”
“Cleckler is a really tough fighter. In the first round, I don’t even know what he dropped me with, but when he dropped me I felt like it didn’t hurt me. I was more so an equilibrium shot. It just knocked me off balance. However, I sat there and looked around like ‘Damn I’m really on the ground right now’.
I remember my doctor’s Instagram post saying don’t come back home if you lose. And that is the first thing coming to my mind. Damn, all these people watch me at home. If I lose this, if I get a knockdown they’ll talk about me. It’s time to wake up!” – The winner of the bout adds.
As he says, we trade shots, but my shots come faster and harder. The bout proves once again that this indeed is the most brutal sport in the world.
