Nobody expects you to lose when you haven’t lost for 16 consecutive matches. But the mathematics suggests that with each following win you are closer to your next loss. That loss for Canelo Alvarez finally came. The day is Saturday, May 7th. He lost to the reigning star Dmitry Bivol by a unanimous decision.
You could have looked at the boxer and you knew that something was not right. His usual fresh look and aggressive game were no more there to be seen. The fighter seems a little bit tired. His professional record, now after this loss, is 57-2-2. And taking into consideration that he is someone that spent 17 years as a successful professional boxer. That is wild by itself.
How Can You Expect To Perform If All You Eat Is Grass – Joe Rogan Says The Diet Is What Brought Canelo Alvarez Down
How did he manage to lose the bout? It is obvious that something is not the same with him. Many critics are suspecting his diet has something to do with his sloppy performance. But the ‘new vegan’ has been bragging about his eating habits for quite some time now.
Joe Rogan, among the many, posts an Instagram story regarding this and criticizes him for switching to veganism.
Canelo Alvarez has posted a quote regarding his new diet saying: “I feel very good. My body has adapted very well. I feel strong. My stomach is very good. I highly recommend it.”
After Alvarez’s loss, Joe Rogan shares the quote and writes “That worked good” below it.
Joe Rogan is in open opposition to the vegan diet movement. He states that he is not able to achieve anything without meat in his diet and is against eating only ‘greens’. However, he is not against eating salads and vegetables per se. Rogan accepts and acknowledges the benefits of vegetables in a diet, but he is against them being your main diet ingredient. He is jokingly refereeing to the people who promote this type of diet as people who do not care for their look and who are blindly following the guidelines that are given to them by the wrong people.
According to Joe Rogan Bill Gates is one of these ‘wrong’ people who promote this.
“A guy like Bill Gates telling people when he’s got these breasts and this gut. By the way, you look like shit. Because if you’re eating those plant-based burgers or whatever the fuck you’re doing, you are obese.” He insults the billionaire.
Rogan implements meat in his diet on a daily basis, basically in each meal. It helps him build muscle, stay in form and get all the nutrients, minerals, and vitamins he needs. He says that this is the only way to success if you are training for anything that requires physical strength. Boxing is requiring a big-time strength. So there is that.
What do you think? Is the diet to blame for this? Or his overconfidence?
