Everywhere Adam Cole goes, he will tend to become a top name. He seemingly has everything delivered to him on a silver platter. That can not be said about Dax Harwood, a man who has earned his way to the top of cards alongside his tag team partner Cash Wheeler. This is why tonight, he refuses to allow Cole to step any further in the Owen Hart Memorial Cup. Harwood is ready to shut the door on Coles championship dreams, and prove he’s not just a tag team wrestler.
Adam Cole Targets The Ribs Of Harwood
Cole would start this match by trying to get under the skin of his opponent – only to be taken to the mat with a headlock takeover. He’d fight to his feet, before taking some heavy chops. Cole shot back with a knee to the midsection, before a neckbreaker.
Harwood would nail some heavy shots to the face of Cole, before looking for the Sharpshooter. Cole was able to block into a roll up, getting a two count – before sliding Harwood under the bottom rope and into the ring post. The damage wouldn’t stop there, as Cole would whip Harwood right into the steel steps twice.
Harwood would be tossed shoulder first into the ringpost next, before Cole applied an abdominal stretch in the ring. Cole would nearly be countered, before dumping Harwood down with a hip toss. Some heavy strikes in the corner from Cole would land – and Harwood was on the ropes both literally and figuratively.
Harwood would be run right into the corner, before Cole would nail some more forearm smashes. Cole was dropped with a set of German Suplexes, before hitting one of his own. Harwood was able to hang on, and nailed a release German Suplex – dumping Cole on his head. He’d head to the top rope, but Cole would cut him off at the top.
Harwood was able to fight his way free but couldn’t get the diving headbutt. Instead, he’d pop Cole up into a slingshot powerbomb for a two count. Cole would hit a knee drop brainbuster, but Harwood was able to stay in the fight.
Dax Harwood Is Forced To Tap Out
Adam Cole would tune up the band in the corner, but Harwood was able to dodge and hit a springboard crossbody. He’d go for a second, and Cole caught him in the air with a superkick. A cocky cover from COle would allow Harwood to counter, and he’d get two. Panama Sunrise was blocked into an Alabama Slam, but Sharpshooter wouldn’t be successful.
Cole would hit an upkick – before going for Panama Sunrise again. Harwood rolled through and nailed a piledriver of his own. Sharpshooter would be applied, but damage to the ribs of Harwood would make it hard to maintain this hold.
On the outside, Harwood would nearly get counted out of the match – but made it back into the ring at nine. Back in the ring, Cole would apply the sharpshooter – and Harwood was forced to tap out.
