Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s documentary series is set to hit Netflix very soon.
Keeping Up With The Sussexes: Harry And Meghan’s Docuseries Set To Hit Netflix-‘How The Mighty Have Fallen’
According to reports, the series aims to show the intimate parts of the couple’s lives as they navigate their day. While an official release date has not been confirmed as of yet, it is claimed that Netflix would aim to have something out by the end of this year.
This is on the alleged basis that it would coincide with Harry’s tell-all memoir. While that may be the case, sources stress that the couple may prefer it to hit the screens in 2023.
With that being said, there is still a bit of work to do. One producer was quoted as saying: “The timing is still being discussed, things are up in the air.”
This series would certainly be a major shift when it comes to how members associated with the Royal family are perceived. And by having things in front of the camera, it would go some way to establishing the couple’s brand and distancing themselves from the Royal name.
Nevertheless, there is always a chance that things could backfire. And after having failed to produce a lot of content in general, there is a concern that Netflix may now look to exploit every opportunity available to them.
An insider said: “I think it’s fair to say that Netflix is getting its pound of flesh.” The response from the fans on social media towards this announcement was very hostile.
The majority of people mocked the couple on the basis that they had spoken out against the media intrusion they had suffered, and yet, they are now inviting cameras to their homes.
One person wrote: “Hilarious but tragic at the same time!! These two have no radar whatsoever, I feel a massive own goal coming!!” while another person stated: “How the mighty have fallen!!
“Do you think ANYONE in the RF is going to rish talking to them???” Time will tell how the series ends up being perceived. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
