Over the past few years, it’s become nearly impossible to deny that Will Ospreay has become one of the most well rounded professional wrestlers in the world. His matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Revolution Pro Wrestling have been among the best in the world, but fans will not get to see him at the upcoming RevPro event – Epic Encounters.
Will Ospreay Has A Kidney Infection, Pulled From RevPro Epic Encounters
RevoPro would quickly explain why he was pulled for this show on social media, stating the following.
“This is not something we wanted to be posting tonight, but Will Ospreay is out of tomorrow’s Epic Encounter with a Kidney Infection. Our thoughts are with him at this time.”
Ospreay himself would provide some extra information on Twitter, stating the following.
”I honestly can’t tell you how gutted I am to be missing Rev Pro. I’ve a temperature of 40 degrees, I can’t stand up without feeling the need to faint, I’m sweating then cold straight away. Friday night I had my bloods taken to find out I have a serious kidney infection.”
Match Against Minoru Suzuki Will Be Postponed
Ospreay was set to face Minoru Suzuki on the event, with it being the return of Suzuki to the company for the first time since 2019. They had one singles match prior to this, with Ospreay defeating Suzuki during the G1 Climax. There are plans to rebook this match, and a replacement opponent is to be named for Suzuki.
At the time of writing, a replacement opponent has not been named – with fans hoping to see Great-O-Khan step in, another member of the United Empire faction, and someone who had their NJPW excursion as part of the RPW roster.
We here at TheOvertimer wish Will Ospreay a speedy recovery, and hope he’s able to get back to what he does best very soon. What are some of your favorite Will Ospreay matches? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
