Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir has suffered a setback with the news that an official release date has yet to be confirmed.
Prince Harry’s Tell-All Memoir Still Has No Release Date-‘It Might Not Happen’
Initial reports indicated that the book was set to be released at the back end of 2022.
But these plans have now been called into question after the book’s publisher Penguin Random House refused to confirm whether or not the memoir was going to be released this year.
This begs the question: what could be the reasons for the delay? Well, outside of an alternative explanation to the contrary, it could boil down to the following reasons.
First of all, Harry and Meghan are set to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee on Thursday, 2nd June 2022. Therefore, by releasing a memoir soon after attending, it could have the impact of undermining the monarch’s celebrations.
This is the last thing that Harry would want to do if his intention was to reconcile with the Royal family.
Secondly, it may also provide him with the opportunity to get more content for his memoir. After all, the couple may be able to exploit the extra media attention for their benefit.
Roya Nikkhah, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “[It will] provide Harry an opportunity to give his account of attending next month’s celebrations with Meghan and their children.
“The first time the Sussexes will have been reunited with the Royal Family for more than two years.” The fans understandably had a lot to say on social media.
People began to assume that Harry may not end up going through with the memoir, while others questioned if it had been canceled like Meghan’s Netflix series ‘Pearl.’ One person wrote: “Heaven to think it might not happen.”
Only Harry and Meghan know the real reason for the absence of the release date, but if it does not end up being released this year, then it will raise serious concerns over the couple’s lucrative dealings.
