Elon Musk is accused of sexually harassing a flight attendant on a private jet back in 2016. The responsible party for the publishing of the story is The Insider. As pioneers in this claim, they have all the credit for the emergence of the story.
Obviously, while the Insider and the story state one thing, Elon denies all claims and labels them as a try for defaming him. However, he is not taking some greater measures regarding this. Until now there is no lawsuit from his side, and no public explanation, not counting the tweets on his Twitter profile.
How Did The Insider Decide To Publish The Sexual Harassment Allegations Story Regarding Elon Musk? Are there any proofs behind it?
On Twitter, the billionaire judges the controversial story most fiercely and asks for a ‘hardcore litigation department’ establishing to act as a judge, jury, and prosecutor for the case. “There will be blood!” – he claims.
Nicholas Carlson, the news outlet global editor, and the head of the department claims that the story passes all relevancy checks that he’s made and there are no deviations from the publishing standards.
“Anytime you have a very powerful man and there are credible accusations that he did something wrong – Kind of the way that he faces accusations of doing in this story – That’s absolutely and sort of obviously newsworthy.” – Carlson says.
Moreover, The Insider posts another detail regarding the alleged harassment. They even claim that the SpaceX Company transferred funds to the alleged victim in the amount of $250 000. The piece is quite colorful, explaining how Elon rubbed the private areas of the victim and exposed his ‘erect penis’ to her. Since money is not an option, he offers to buy the attendant a horse, in exchange for sexual intercourse.
All these claims, according to The Insider are backed up by documents and official interviews.
What is more interesting, according to Carlson, is that the company (SpaceX) is not even denying the transfer of $250 000 to the victim, but they just deny the reason for the transfer.
Elon Musk, on the other hand links all this to his recent anti-Democtatic posts and tweets. He recently posts a tweet that will vote Republican rather than Democrat, despite the fact that he has been a Democrat for the majority of his life. Even more, he counters several tweets from Democratic personalities and happens to publicly agree with some Republicans now and then.
“They begin brewing attacks of all kinds as soon as we announce the Twitter acquisition. In my 30-year career, including the entire MeToo era, there’s nothing to report, but, as soon as I say I intend to restore free speech to Twitter & vote Republican, suddenly there is …” – Elon expresses himself in a recent Tweet.
If there is a connection between his posts and his allegations there is still no proof. However, the timing is indeed synchronizing incredibly. It appears as if the Insider was just waiting for some major attack on the Democrats to be made so they can unleash the story.
Carlson defends his fellow journalists and his company by saying that they are backing the story up with documents and a research in detail before publishing. He even personally tried to establish contact with the billionaire but the trial did not fruit in a response.
“I reached out to him personally a few times. I said, come talk to us, we want to hear from you. But Musk declines Insider’s offer to grant him more time to respond.” – Carlson says.
“We are prepared to defend the story vigorously.” The chief edition says. “It’s the truth that we stand by our story which is based on documents and interviews. It speaks for itself. We’re going to look for more documents. We are going to pursue any leads that avail themselves to us. And when there’s more to say, we’ll say it.”
What is most surprising in this whole situation is that there are no legal threats to the Insider by Elon.
It is like the billionaire is afraid to press charges and face a full publication of the story including the documents and interviews. We cannot help ourselves but ask, what is he afraid of?
These are news that are affecting the whole world. These are not some small-time accusations and small-time news that do not affect the person in focus much. This information can leave a considerable stain on Musk’s name. That’s why, when publishing such a story, the board of executives in the company needs to assemble and decide together what their next move will be.
Carlson shares that there is no moment of hesitation or, second thoughts when it comes to publishing the story. He did it because he believes in his research team, and in his fellow journalists and is sure that they do have enough evidence to back this up. At the end of the day, the news is about the richest man on the planet. If he is willing, he can go to the lawsuit and that might cost them greatly if they are wrong.

From Elon’s side, there is no further information regarding this. He does fire at the publishers of the story, but is not taking any considerable action regarding it.
