Okay, I’m done with that whole full name nonsense… but that aside, this should be an instant classic show, folks! And assuming I don’t fall asleep thanks to my wonky schedule, I’ll be here to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! Watch this space!
Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis
Dennis charges in the corner but Seven was ready, counters with a one armed powerbomb for a quick nearfall! Big chops, Dennis tries to duck but gets caught with a DDT! Seven wants Corner Ten Punches but Dennis gets under him, Razor’s Edge! Dennis with a haymaker drops Seven. Cravate locked in. Seven with body shots but Dennis stops him with sharp knee lifts to the face, bounces him off the ropes, forearm takes him down for a quick cover. Dennis with shots to the face, cover for 2. Vertical suplex, nearfall. “Trent Seven Army” chant. Seven fights back with chest chops! Again baits the duck and wants the DDT but it’s blocked this time, Seven outwrestles him though and nails a Snap Dragon!
Dennis bails, Seven hits a suicide dive, another Snap Dragon on the floor!
NXT UK Takeover Blackpool off to quite the start! Seven throws him back into the ring, goes up top! Corkscrew senton but he crashes and burns, Dennis rolled out of the way! Exchange of back hands and big boots, Dennis gets a tilt-a-whirl Black Hole Slam for a nearfall! Dennis wants the Razor’s Edge again, Seven escapes, tries for the Seven Star Lariat but Dennis stops that with a huge forearm! Dennis wants to hook him but Seven counters with an Emerald Flowsion for the nearfall! Seven trying for the Birming Hammer, Dennis escapes to the apron, big forearm takes him to the mat. Dennis removing the turnbuckle pad but the ref catches him, Seven nails him! Takes him up top, the turnbuckle pad just falls off… Seven with a superplex, nearfall!
Seven wants the Seven Stars, but Dennis ducks it, and Seven ends up slamming into the exposed buckle! Crowd is giving Dennis a lot of flak! Dennis hooks Seven for the Razor’s Edge, he wants to slam him into the buckle but the ref is getting in the way of it, not letting it happen… so instead Seven tosses him to the floor, he slams into a stagehand!! Dennis throws him into the ring for the cover, narrow kickout! Trent Seven Army chant starts again, Dennis pulls him up, Neck Stop Driver for the victory!
Winner: Eddie Dennis
Pretty good match, Dennis making a solid comeback.
First title match here tonight at NXT UK Takeover Blackpool!
NXT UK Women’s Championship: Kay Lee Ray (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Piper Niven
Immediately Toni charges and takes down Kay Lee Ray! The brawl is taken to the outside, Piper with a stunning suicide dive! “NXT” chant, cannonballs on both women, one against the barrier, the other against the steps! Piper throws Toni into the ring, pursues but KLR drags her to the floor, goes in but Toni with a double leg! As she’s raining down punches, Niven rushes into the ring for a senton crushing both women! Covers KLR for a nearfall. Toni kicks KLR into the corner, Piper approaches but takes a big shot to the face herself. However, Niven with a crossbody for a nearfall on Toni! KLR with a superkick to Piper!
Storm with a big suplex on Piper! KLR outwrestles her in the corner though, kicks off the second rope for a Tornado DDT, nearfall! Grinds Toni against the bottom rope. Piper approaches, exchange of shots with Kay Lee, clubbering blow takes Piper down. Wants the Gory Bomb but Piper’s a bit too heavy, gets shoved forward into Toni, sent back and forth, Storm with a back suplex on Niven! Running kick to Storm from KLR, but Niven gets her with a Backdrop Driver, all three women are down! Toni and Piper square off as they rise. Exchange of forearms until Kay Lee breaks it up.
Kay Lee looks under the ring… pulls out a steel chair!
Chokes Toni with the bottom of it. Does the same to Piper. Kay Lee wraps Toni’s head around the chair! Wants to stomp but Niven stops it, shoulder block wipes her out! Toni takes the chair up as she rises… eyes Piper again. Kay Lee pulls herself up on the apron. Toni drops the chair, both women turn towards KLR! They double team, throwing her into the ring, then sending her right out! Suicide dive from Toni takes her into the barrier! Piper with a running senton off the apron lays her out! “NXT” chant! Toni throws KLR into the ring, Piper stops her from pursuing though… Kay Lee Ray with a crazy tope con hilo, nearly overshoots them but takes them out!
KLR takes Toni into the ring, goes up top, Toni cuts her off and wants a superplex but Niven stops that, powerbombs Toni! Kay Lee comes off with a senton but Niven avoids it and she lands on Toni! Toni rolls to the floor, Niven with a Michinoku Driver on KLR for a very close nearfall! “Let’s Go Piper” chant! Piper wants another Michinoku Driver but KLR counters with a Gory Bomb! Cover, but Toni Storm grabs the hand of the ref to stop the count! KLR with a suicide dive wipes Storm out! Back in the ring, she wants a powerbomb, but Piper counters, CANADIAN DESTROYER?! Storm kicks her to prevent the pin though, Storm Zero on KLR!!! PIPER BARELY BREAKS IT UP IN TIME! Loud “NXT” chant!
Storm pulls KLR up, another Storm Zero takes her right onto Piper’s back! As KLR rolls out of the ring, Toni pulls Piper up… Angel’s Wings?! Nearfall! Toni up top, frog splash… but KLR with an immediate thrust kick to the face of Toni! Covers Piper, and that’s that, she steals the win!
Winner: Kay Lee Ray
Dayam! That was absolutely lovely. Maybe leaning on the suicide dives a bit but it was exciting stuff, some great falsies.

Jordan Devlin vs. Tyler Bate
Loud chant for Bate as the match begins. Devlin gets Bate in a top wristlock, Bate wants to hip toss out of it but Devlin rolls through and keeps ahold. Bate with a monkey flip but Devlin still not letting go. Bate finally manages to flip his way free, wristlock takedown. Devlin with a kip up, tries to hoist him up for his mid-air back suplex but Bate counters with a smooth hip toss, wants the Bop and Bang but Devlin blocks it! Kick to the gut, side headlock. Bate throws him off, leap frog, roll into a monkey flip that sends Devlin across the ring! Whip to the ropes, back body drop! “Big Strong Boy” chant!
Bate gets Devlin onto his shoulders… slowly transitions to a full military press! Tosses him to the floor, kicks him to the floor, hits the ropes, but Devlin makes it to the apron in time to cut him off, Uranage! Springing Moonsault for a nearfall! Devlin stomps Bate to the mat as a dueling chant starts, lot of support for both men now. Driving Back Suplex, nearfall! Devlin grinds the boot against the back of Bate’s head, butterfly suplex! Mocks the Mustache Mountain pose. Devlin grabs the wrist, wicked kicks to the face.
Wants the Devlinside, but Bate blocks it! Power whip takes him over the top rope and to the floor!
Hits the ropes… big Taker Dive! Throws him into the ring, Bate up top as a “UK” chant starts, Bate comes off but Devlin leaps up to catch him with a Gutbuster out of mid-air! Nearfall, Bate chant starts up again as Devlin begins to pummel. Devlin gets Bate into the Surfboard, full extension! Dragon Sleeper and all, Devlin just tosses him aside! Rolling clutch, Bate kicks out, both hit the ropes, simultaneous crossbody collision! They both fight up, exploder from Bate! Runs, teases the running shooting star, Devlin starts to get the knees up but it’s a feint from Bate! Kick to the face, now he nails the Running Shooting Star for a nearfall!
Devlin evades a corner, charge, springs over the top rope but Bate catches him on his shoulders! Flips him over, Airplane Spin commences! Aaaand it’s still going! Just going and going and going! Standing ovation as Bate just won’t stop! Speeding up now! Devlin sent flying as Bate stumbles into the corner! “Big Strong Boy” chant, Bate with a Brainbuster for a nearfall! Tyler Driver ’97 countered with a Spiking Rana for a nearfall, Bate reverses the cradle for another, tries the victory roll but Devlin holds on… Wheelbarrow German Suplex, destructive, nearfall! Devlin with a corner charge, Bate tries to back body drop him away but Devlin springs right back for the rolling cutter! Bate slips to the apron to avoid a pin.
DEVLIN WITH ANOTHER ROLLING CUTTER, TAKES HIM ONTO THE APRON!
“Are you watching, Vince McMahon?” chant as the ref threatens to count both men out. Devlin with a roundhouse kick to the face of Bate, rushes back into the ring! Because of this Bate baaaaarely makes it back in before 10! “NXT”! Devlin grabs a wrist… Kawada Kicks start but Bate catches them! Pulls himself up, forearm exchange begins! Hard, hard shots! Devlin with a ruthless palmm strike! Bate with a furious right hand, just straight punches here, exchange speeds up as the crowd goes wild!! Tyler with a vicious combo… but Devlin answers with body shots, Bop but Devlin punches instead, only for Bate to rebound with the Rolling Liger Kick!
Bate wants the Tyler Driver but Devlin stops him with a headbutt! Back body drop but Bate flips onto his feet, does the Kofi headspring, but bounces right back into the Spanish Fly from Devlin! But Bate sits up for a mean headbutt! And Devlin does the same! “Are you watching, Vince McMahon?” NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II is firing on all cylinders right now. Devlin goes up top, Bate clips him, pursues.
But Devlin outwrestles him, Avalanche Spanish Fly!! Devlinside, NEARFALL!?! “Fight Forever”, “This Is Awesome”, Devlin stomps the back of Bate’s head! Devlin with a mocking Bop and Bang! Hooks for the Tyler Driver but Bate escapes, wants it too, Devlin back body drops him to the apron, BATE WITH A RUTHLESS HEADBUTT! Bate with a Springboard Tornado DDT! Hooks him…. TYLER DRIVER ’97! DEVLIN KICKS OUT?! Bate just flies to the top rope, Corkscrew Splash!! And that is that!!

Hot damn! That’s gonna be a hard one to top, but the crazy thing is, the last two matches of NXT UK Takeover Blackpool have a real shot to do it!
Four Way Ladder Match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships: Gallus (c) vs. Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews vs. Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Imperium
And we start with a big brawl between all four teams! Grizzled Young Veterans and Mandrews and Webster are left in the ring as the others fight to the floor, double team dropkick to Drake! Webster and Andrews keep Gallus on the floor, but a double team series of dropkicks from GYV get Andrews down, running european uppercut from Gibson takes Flash to the floor! Gallus in the ring, Wolfgang with a series of crossbodies, Barthel drags him out of the ring, Imperium double teams Mark, spinebuster, pk! Morgan off the top with a flying headscissor takes Barthel to the floor, Andrews with one of his own on Aichner, standing moonsault one after another!
GYV hot shot them against the ropes though, Drake grabs for a ladder… but Gibson stops him, they take up chairs instead! They take them to Flash, Andrews and Imperium but Gallus in, Wolfgang flies in for a big spear! They take the advantage, Drake is up in the tree of woe, chair is placed against his face… Imperium stop Gallus from capitalizing, they want it instead, double team dropkick takes the chair into Drake’s face! They go to get the ladder but Webster and Andrews with a double tope takes them out!
Mandrews and Flash finally get the ladder into the ring!
Imperium stop them from climbing, throw them out of the ring. Gallus with a second ladder, nails Imperium to take them off! The first ladder falls. Wolfgang sets up a ladder in the corner against Barthel but he throws it into his face! Ladder shots take Gallus out of the ring, in comes Webster, thrown to a rope hung ladder, it’s slammed into him, then he’s catapulted facefirst into the steel! Mandrews with a slide beneath the ladder, double pele kick! Takes up the ladder but Gibson and Drake stop him, drive him into the corner! Gibson holds him there with the ladder, Drake with a running dropkick to the face… lands kinda poorly afterwards though. Gallus clobber Drake, Gibson gets chokeslammed onto a hanging ladder! Slingshot Samoan Drop takes Drake onto it as well, dayam!
“NXT” chant, folks matches like this are not easy to type up but I’m doing my damnedest! Gallus go up the ladder, Imperium pull them off, both teams end up on the outside. Aichner and Barthel both thrown into the steps! Webster and Andrews climb the ladder, Gallus stop them, but they counter, flying DDT by Webster! Mark kicked away by Andrews, but he comes off with a High Flying Shooting Star Press! Barthel in the ring, big open hand strikes takes Andrews to the outside. Webster stops him from setting the ladder back up, Olympic Slam onto the hung ladder!
Barthel holds Flash against the ladder – Aichner with his double jump moonsault, Webster is sandwiched onto the steel!
Just awesome. Imperium climbing up now. GYV into the ring to stop them. Drake sets up an extra tall ladder right next to the upright one. Gallus now in, lot of guys climbing here! Third ladder setup, Mandrews sets up a bridge with a fourth! Webster from the other side with a fifth, leaning it against the the construction! All eight men up… Gibson and Aichner fall against a top rope! Mandrews biels Barthel off the ladders! Wolfgang thrown off as well! Flash on the ladder but it’s tipped over and he flies over the top rope to the floor! Andrews still fighting, knocks both Gibson and Drake to the mat but they keep hold of his shin. Andrews flies off but Gibson catches him – Ticket To Ride! Drake standing on the ladder bridge… beautiful 450 Splash! Incredible balance!
Gibson trying to give orders, in spite of how banged up Drake’s leg is, he’s making him climb. Gibson electric chairs him up the ladder though, Drake fingertips away but Aichner stops this, pulls Gibson off! Imperium pulls Drake off the ladder for the European Bomb! They’re taking all the unneeded ladders out of the ring. They’re climbing now, Gallus tip the ladder over there to send them to the mat. Both men holding ladders, Aichner gets sandwiched! And again! And a third time! Now Barthel gets the same treatment! The last unnecessary ladder gets thrown to the floor! Enziguri/Powerslam combo takes Drake out!
Wolfgang throws Coffey over the top rope to take out Imperium and Gibson! Enziguri/Powerslam again, this one takes Gibson onto the ramp!
UK chant! Webster and Andrews on the apron, Gallus try to suplex them in but Stereo Stundog Millionaires stop them! They take the tall ladder again but Gallus block them from getting it into the ring. Gallus brawl with Morgan and Mandrews on the floor, throw them int othe steps. And now, after this match has been filled with ladders and chairs, Gallus break out the tables, one from each! Tables set up with a bridge, one on the barrier and another on the apron. Gallus want to slam Mandrews and Morgan through the tables from the apron but they each escape, headbutts lay Gallus out on the tables! Table under Coffey collapses, welp! But Mandrews goes up the ladder anyway and oh man, now they’re both just gonna jump on one guy!
DOUBLE SWANTON OFF THE LADDER THROUGH THE TABLE, OH MY GOD!
That was some next level improvisation, holy hell! Have I mentioned that NXT UK Takeover Blackpool is awesome? Mandrews and Morgan climbing ladders in the ring now but Grizzled Young Veterans cut them off! But as Drake climbs and Gibson stands watch… Mandrews grabs up a Kendo Stick! And sweet Christ he is wailing on them both with it, vicious! Mandrews clears the ring and climbs, but Imperium into the ring! Barthel shoves him off the top, Aichner catches him for a brutal brainbuster! Barthel climbs… Mark Coffey stops him! He wants a german suplex… slowly tips the ladder over but Aichner barely grabs it to just keep it from tipping and saving his partner!
Aichner wants the European Bomb… but Mark fights out of it, WOLFGANG SPEARS AICHNER RIGHT THROUGH THE CORNER LADDER, IT SHATTERS COMPLETELY! Coffey tips Barthel off the ladder and he falls onto all five of the other men, as Gallus climb the ladder and grab the titles! Jesus!
Winner: Gallus
I really did not expect the retain but good God that was incredible. NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II has been fantastic and now, we have our main event!
WWE United Kingdom Champion: Walter (c) vs. Joe Coffey
“Walter’s Gonna Kill You” chant as we start off here. Immediate big boot but Coffey avoids it! Walter wanted the callback. Big chant of his name. Lock-up, Coffey escapes. Lock up again… Coffey wins out, in the ropes, no clean break as he gets him with a shot to the face! Walter chops back, gets him in the sleeper but Coffey counters with a backdrop driver, Walter bails as Coffey folds the arms! Walter runs in but Coffey stops him with a big boot of his own! Runs from the apron with a torpedo headbutt! Walter with a european uppercut to stop the momentum. Coffey reverses a whip, takes him into the barrier! Walter with a back body drop but Coffey lands on his feet, rushes, Flying Shoulder Block over the barrier nails Walter!
Coffey takes him into the ring, crowd won’t stop chanting the champ’s name. Coffey with some fierce shots. Shoots him off the ropes, Belly To Belly for a nearfall! Charging back elbow! Coffey to the second rope, blocks a shot, Tornado DDT! Nearfall. Wants a suplex, Walter blocks… still fighting for it, Coffey almost gets it but has to give up, throws elbows. Walter responds.
Coffey with a grizzly one, combo of strikes, discus elbow… hoists him up! Delayed Vertical Suplex on the 319lber!
Nearfall! Loud knife edge chop but Walter looking mad! Dares him to give him another and he obliges! And another, but Walter retaliates with a brutal chop! Joe looking intense! But he eats another destructive chop and a third! Walter poses in the ring to an ovation! Drags him outside, echoing chop! Running big boot to the side of the face!
Joe tries chopping his way back, but Walter gets him with a powerslam, seated senton for a nearfall, right after the kickout he locks a crosface on! Transitions, knee to the ribs, single leg crab in deep! Coffey escapes, exchange of elbows now as a dueling chant starts, Joe slowly getting people behind him! Walter wins out on the exchange though, powerful chop to the chest! Joe shoves him away but eats a violent open palm strike to the face! Spinning neck crank, Joe has to roll from the ring! Walter grabs him by the hair and takes him to the apron, clubbing shot to the chest! And a second, meaty blow! “One more time” chant, and Walter hits it but Coffey absorbs it and grabs the arm! Turns around, several forearm shivers land and Walter goes to his back! Coffey goes up top! As Walter slowly stands, Coffey off the top, Walter catches him into a Boston Crab!
It’s in deep… transitions to an STF!
Cranking back deep here! Pulls an arm back to keep him getting to the ropes! Coffey swings a leg to the bottom rope for the break! Walter with an arm wringer, SHORT ARM CHOP, VILE! And a second one!! But Coffey ducks the third, clothesline, answered hard! Shoulder block collisions! Walter leapfrogs over him, big boot ducked but Walter gets him with a Brainbuster! Nearfall! Sleeper locked in, Coffey fights to his feet and falls back to break the hold! Coffey muscles Walter up on his shoulders! Walter escapes the electric chair but Coffey with a running headbutt takes him bouncing off the turnbuckle, Coffey hooks him, deadlift German Suplex, bridge for a nearfall!
Dueling chant, Coffey with a double jump moonsault, very close nearfall!! Coffey hits the ropes but Walter stops him with a big boot! Yet he keeps going, hits the ropes again but eats a chop! It stuns him but he’s still standing! Shot to the face, powerbomb for a nearfall!! Sleeper locked in! Hip toss breaks it, Glasgow Sendoff takes Walter to the corner, Walter explodes out for a running dropkick – Coffey evades it and Walter flies right through the referee, launching him from the ring! Coffey with a powerbomb, stacks him for the visual pinfall but the official is down! “He Kicked Out” chant! Alexander Wolfe into the ring now, Discus Big Boot to Coffey! Dragonov in for the save, takes Wolfe down!
Stalks… charges for the Torpedo Moscow but it knocks Wolfe into Coffey and this seemingly injures the left knee!
Walter with a punishing lariat to Dragonov! Walter leaves the ring, running big boot to the side of the face! Drives him into the steel! APRON BOMB! Throws him into the ring, Short Arm Clothesline nailed, another visual pinfall! Official rushes into the ring, very narrow kickout!! Dragonov and Wolfe now brawling on the floor, Walter goes up top! Coffey stops him with a chop! Pursues, but the leg gives out! Tries to climb anyway! Walter with a big open hand chop and another and another and eventually he can’t hold on! Walter trying to stand but Joe with an uppercut! AVALANCHE OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY! NXT chant! Another reminder that NXT UK Takeover Blackpool rules! Exchange of shots from the knees! Exchange of blows, Coffey wins out and blocks a chop, furious heymaker nailed!! Pummels Walter into the corner to an ovation!! Walter with a low kick to the bad knee, another vicious leg kick, Walter up top! Frog Splash!! NEARFALL!
Crowd is actually singing the tune of Ironman here for the Iron King! Walter hooks Coffey for a powerbomb! Coffey blocks, escapes, big elbow, All’s Best For The Bells for a nearfall! Goes for another but Walter ducks, into the Sleeper! Chant for Joe! Walter turns it into a full on one now! Takes him to his feet, brutal kick to the back of the head, vicious forearm and the sleeper is right back in! Joe grabs the top rope, Walter chops the hand away, Sleeper Suplex! Powerbomb, rolls him through, gruesome chop the back and another powerbomb! Crossface locked in now! And he has to tap!
Winner: Walter
Absolutely exhausting, what a grueling war as expected.
NXT UK Takeover Blackpool is signing off… WHEN THE UNDISPUTED ERA EMERGE TO ATTACK IMPERIUM! Thunderous NXT chant as Aichner, Barthel and Wolfe are all brutally taken out on the floor! Cole stands toe to toe with Walter… but the four on one gets the better of him! Walter getting pummeled! Held in place for a running flying knee! And another biiig chant of NXT! Not letting any of the Imperium mates help their boss here, loud chant of “Undisputed”! Walter held in place, Last Shot from Adam Cole! Undisputed Era have destroyed Imperium here, a big teaser for the Worlds Collide show later in the month! The Undisputed Era make their pose in the middle of the ring as we go off the air!
