It appears that Prince Harry and Prince William have been bonding via WhatsApp messages and FaceTime video calls, according to a source familiar with the brothers’ relationship.

What’s more interesting than the two of them chatting—which is kind of expected of siblings who haven’t done irreparable damage to their relationship—is that they include their children in video calls. After all, considering Prince Harry and Meghan have distanced themselves from their royal duties, their youngsters wouldn’t see Uncle Harry or Uncle William that much.
Also of note is that Meghan and Kate haven’t been in on the calls. The two wives have opted to give the two brothers time to reconnect. However, the insider says that William has a favorable view of Meghan, viewing her as “a good mother and loyal wife”.
It was also pointed out that because Meghan and Kate have distance between them, it has “helped heal the friction” between the brothers. Several issues related to the Royal Family were the cause of a gradual rift between the two.
Meghan and Kate’s altercation during a dress fitting, discussion about Harry’s role in the family, and William’s initial diminishing of Harry’s engagement to Meghan are a few issues that put cracks in a once-solid sibling relationship.
“Megxit” was the final straw for their relationship for a period. With Platinum Jubilee coming up in June, you can expect the brothers to reconnect in person as Harry and Meghan will be flying over to take part in the celebration.
However, they made sure to note that they won’t be there to upstage or disrupt anything. There is also the issue of Lilibet’s first birthday which falls on June 4 along with a derby and concert which are part of the Platinum Jubilee festivities.
All of the grave social faux pas and dereliction of royal duties stuff aside, it’s great to see siblings try to reconnect following a fallout.
