Scorpio Sky is ready to move past Sammy Guevera as TNT Champion here in AEW. They’ve played hot potato with the belt, but after Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti & Frankie Kazarian would break into and destroy the home base of American Top Team – and steal some of their treasured belts? It was time to make things right.

Tonight, he will team up with Ethan Page and the debuting Paige VanZant, and when they win – Guevara and Kazarian will be unable to challenge Sky during the rest of his reign as TNT Champion. So tonight is do or die to Guevara, who has made the TNT Championship a core part of his personality after splitting from the now defunct Inner Circle faction.

American Top Team Bring The Fight To A Dysfunctional Trio

Guevara, Kazarian & Conti hit the ring with their stolen belts, with Conti dressed up as Maleficent. Page & Guevara would start the match, with Guevara taking a hard back elbow before getting pummeled into the mat. Ego’s Edge would be countered, before Guevara nailed a dropkick.

Page would fight back with a Military Press powerslam. Sky & Kazarian hit the ring, with Sky nailing the dropkick on his former tag team partner. Scoop Slam into leg drop would show how timeless Kazarian remains, before he’d tag Guevara in.

Sky would punch Guevara into the corner, before taking the double jump cutter. VanZant tried to enter the ring, distracting the referee as Conti & Guevara hit a double suplex. Kazarian would tag in and apply a front headlock, before Sky broke free and hit the flatliner.

Conti got a cheap shot on VanZant, before dancing with Guevara. Kazarian looked for a tag, but they were too busy doing other things. Crossface Chickenwing would be applied, and Guevara tagged in when Kazarian had control.

    Paige VanZant Shows Her Skills

Potentially losing a partner with an argument, Guevara would be forced to tag in Conti. VanZant would meet her in the ring, hitting a double leg and some elbow strikes. A lariat would follow, before a handspring back elbow. Guevara took a DDT from VanZant, before Conti was tripped into a low blow. Michinoku Driver would land, getting VanZant a two count.

Conti would get some pump kicks in the corner, before a fourth in the middle of the ring before a twisting gutbuster. More dancing and making out from Conti & Guevara left them open to a three on two beatdown. Kazarian would abandon ship, leaving them high and dry. Page would take a dropkick, before Guevara took the flying cutter. Kazarian would hit a DDT, only tagging himself back into the match to potentially earn a TNT title shot.

Slingshot Cutter would follow, before Conti bad mouthed her partner. Guevara would superkick Conti, before Kazarian took the TKO for the finish. Guevara & Kazarian are now locked away from the TNT Championship, which is AMAZING news for that title scene.

Kyle O’Reilly Tears Down Darby Allin

Darby Allin has been on every single AEW PPV, usually in a big spot. However, he was almost left off the card when he failed to advance in the Owen Hart Memorial Cup, unitl Kyle O’Reilly made a mistake. During a beatdown on AEW Dynamite, Kyle O’Reilly would put the mentor of Allin on the shelf with an injury, that of course being ‘The Icon’ Sting. Now, after Allin was promising to ruin the nights of Adam Cole & Young Bucks if he didn’t get his match, Kyle O’Reilly accepted this match.

Allin would take a quick strike, before O’Reilly would block a single leg and nail a knee to the jaw. With Allin already bleeding from the mouth, O’Reilly would put more punishment on his opponent with a snap suplex. Allin would hit some elbow strikes, before a knee to midsection.

Code Red would be fired off in response, before Allin hit a Scorpion Death Drop. O’Reilly would look for the Kimura, only for Allin to break free and hit a stunner before a cannonball dive to the outside, which ended with Allin landing on his head and hitting a dropkick.

O’Reilly would catch a second dive attempt into a chokehold. Back into the ring, O’Reilly hit the brainbuster into a cross armbreaker. Allin would block into a Scorpion Deathlock, before catching O’Reilly in the ropes and nailing a Coffin Drop.

Another Coffin Drop in the ring would see him caught into an armbar, only for Allin to block into a pinfall. Both men would exchange strikes, before O’Reilly choked Allin by his chain and hit the PK for a one count. A second PK, and Allin kicked out at two. The third, and Allin also took the diving knee for the finish.

Will Kyle O’Reilly go after the TNT Championship? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
