Dame Joan Collins has responded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK return for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Dame Joan Collins Questions Prince Harry’s Platinum Jubilee Return-‘He Does What He Wants To Do, Doesn’t He?’
The couple, for their part, made their highly-anticipated return to the UK since their exit from the Royal family in 2020. And with all eyes on the couple, they were keen on not making any slip ups.
As their appearance went ahead with any blunders, Joan had a few words to say about Harry. She spoke on how the Jubilee would have been hard for the monarch, as Harry ultimately plays by his own rules.
In her comments, Joan said: “I think he does what he wants to do, doesn’t he? That’s what I think… it must have been sad I think for the Queen, probably.”
With that being said, there is the obvious question mark of whether Harry will still go ahead with his tell-all memoir.
If he has managed to patch things up to the point where he has now made a visit to the UK, does he want to damage that by potentially releasing negative information about his time in the Royal family?
Despite those concerns, the Queen has plenty of people in her inner circle to keep herself occupied. She had the opportunity to see her grandchildren united, who will ultimately take up the mantle one she is no longer here.
Therefore, the Harry and Meghan saga was a side-piece in what was a successful event, Joan added: “I think it was probably very sad for the Queen. But she’s got so many other children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.”
The fans on social media, though, felt that Joan’s comments were harsh. After all, Harry had gone out of his way to see his family. One person wrote: “Whether you like him or not Prince Harry has done more for this country than Joan Collins.”
It is safe to say that Joan is not Harry’s biggest fan. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
