Fans have reacted to Prince William and Kate Middleton sitting opposite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they all attended the National Service of Thanksgiving.
Fans React As Harry And Meghan Sit Awkwardly Opposite William And Kate At The National Service Of Thanksgiving-‘They Are Pariahs’
The event took place on Friday, 3rd June 2022 during which all sides attended St Paul’s Cathedral. In the pictures here, we can see that William and Kate are sitting next to each other in the presence of Princess Anne, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are seated opposite. And as both sides allegedly failed to interact with each other during the event, the fact of the matter is that the relations are still quite frosty.
Nevertheless, this seating could be explained by the following reasons. First of all, Harry and Meghan are no longer part of the Royal family.
As such, much like what happened on the palace balcony, it would make more sense for them to separate themselves. Secondly, Harry and Meghan were seated next to Princess Eugenie, with whom they have historically had a good friendship with.
Lastly, in any event, reports indicate that Harry and William have no plans on spending time together during the course of the Jubilee, which is a blow to those looking for a full reconciliation.
It is not surprising, then, the public had a lot to say on social media. A certain subset of people were of the view that this merely indicated just how uncomfortable Harry and Meghan were feeling.
Not only that, but others began to mock the pair. One person wrote: “Not after that wat wat interview with the lies and now they cannot wait to be in the fold again because they were caught out. They are pariahs.”
While another person stated: “they will never be side by side again until PH & wife say sorry publicly.” Time will tell if the parties can work things out for the sake of the Royal family going forward.
