Bron Breakker has been backed into a corner by Joe Gacy. He might have beaten him once, but the torment would not stop from Gacy. Now, Gacy is looking to take advantage of the anger of Breakker, having already used to make it so that tonight – if Breakker gets DQ’d, he loses the title. It will just take one mistake to have everything crumble down for Breakker here, and Gacy will do everything in his power to ensure that happens here.

Bron Breakker Wears Gear Inspired By His Uncle Scott Steiner

Breakker was wearing a singlet inspired by gear that his uncle Scott Steiner wore at Wrestlemania 9 here tonight. On that night, alongside Rick Steiner – they defeated The Headshrinkers in a tag team match. Scott Steiner is notorious for his hot head, but a hot head could see Gacy be handed the belt tonight.

Gacy would slap the face of Breakker before the bell, another trick to get into the head of Breakker. Breakker would drive Gacy into the corner for some shoulder tackles, before another slap. Gacy would hit the dropkick, before taking a punch to the side of the head. Backbreaker would follow, before Breakker threw Gacy across the ring with a suplex.

More strikes in the corner would follow, before Gacy went to the outside. His druids would hand Breakker a steel chair, trying to urge him to use it. Breakker would get driven into the ring post, and the chair would ricochet and hit him in the face. Gacy followed up with a neckbreaker in the ring for a near fall.

Gacy would follow up with a sliding elbow into the corner, before a running senton onto the apron. Breakker would kick out at two, before Gacy hit some short range lariats in the corner. A roll up would see Gacy block into a chinlock, while also grapevining the torso with his legs.

    Joe Gacy Gets Outplayed

Breakker would break free before being caught with a DDT. Gacy would be sent to the floor, and collided with the steel steps on the way down. Back into the ring however, Gacy nailed another lariat and applied another chin lock.

Breakker would fight free again, before a backdrop driver. Gacy would fire Breakker up, and take a set of running shoulder tackles before a spinebuster. Breakker would follow Gacy to the outside with a huge dive over the top rope.

Back in the ring, a druid distracted the referee – before Gacy pulled the ol’ Eddie Guerrero trick, hitting the mat with a steel chair and tossing it to Breakker. Another referee was watching in the back and pleaded for Breakker to not lose like this. Breakker would hit Gacy with a shoulder tackle through the ropes, sending him through the announce table.

Back in the ring, diving bulldog would land – but only got a two count. Gacy wanted Breakker to hit him in the head with a chair, but this was all to set up a low blow and roll up. Breakker would survive, but grabbed the chair.

Instead, he whacked the Druid on the apron, before blocking the springboard lariat with a spear. Press Powerslam would land, and Bron Breakker retains the NXT Championship.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
