Queen Elizabeth II‘s platinum jubilee celebrations went on for some days as excited citizens and guests showed up on various occasions to celebrate with the Queen. However, a number of people were met with disappointment.
In London’s grand Guildhall, guests were expecting to be hosted by a member of the Royal Family as this was promised to them. However, none showed up and organizers claimed it was because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had turned down an invitation to attend the event.
Sources Claim Duke And Duchess Of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are The Biggest Pariahs Of The Royal Family
This was a while after the Duke and Duchess were welcomed by rounds of boos by onlookers. Many hoped that the visit of the Duke and Duchess to London for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations would help make their relationship better.
However, they were disappointed as not only was the public still upset by the couple’s decision to leave the royal family, some members of the Royal family found it uncomfortable to relate with the seemingly cold and detached couple even as they found out that the couple have planned to be out of the country before the Queen’s Buckingham Palace Balcony appearance.
Recent activities have proven that members of the Royal family do not trust the Sussexes as close sources have revealed that they have been warned about Meghan and Harry recording their conversations and leaking private moments to American TV broadcasters.
For instance, Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King’s networks have let out private conversations about senior royals in the past and this caused a lot of problems. Ever since, Prince Andrew and Prince Charles have put it out that they would not tolerate having their private information made public on US media outlets.
According to a Royal source, “Prince Andrew is less of a pariah than Harry and Meghan as far as the family is concerned. The public might be surprised, but within the family it is seen as if he didn’t do anything wrong. They have to believe that.”
Despite all worries about the Queen’s health, Meghan and Harry’s visit and Prince Andrew’s appearance for Thanksgiving, the Platinum Jubilee has been termed a huge success.
