Self-proclaimed royal expert, Angela Levin has claimed that the executives of streaming giant, Netflix is not happy about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s failure to take a picture with the Queen and other senior royals with their baby Lilibet during the Platinum Jubilee.
Angela Levin Confirms That The Queen Refused To Take Photos With Lilibet
The noted biographer of Prince Harry and Camilla Parker Bowles made this claim on Tuesday, June 6 when she appeared on the British talk show “GB News,” the Daily Mail reported. She said, “I heard Netflix wanted these pictures of them with the royals,” Levin said of the alleged photo bombing of a different sort.

“Because they would have sold it. It would be very valuable, very valuable to them.” Netflix green-lighted Harry and Meghan’s much-hyped “at-home” docuseries in May — but according to reports, the cameras were banned from the Queen’s platinum jubilee as part of the “Sandringham agreement” made when the controversial prince and his wife quit their royal roles back in January 2020.
Mulitple outlets reported that Harry and Meghan wanted their personal photographer to take happy snaps Lilibet and the Queen — but were snubbed. An anonymous source eve said the couple were told, “No chance. It was a private family event,” the Sun originally reported. The source also claimed that the Queen’s minders were worried that the Sussexes would leak the pictures to US television networks.
But, another insider told The Post that claim is bunk, noting that “they just enjoyed a private and intimate visit with the Queen.” The source said that Harry and his wife didn’t even ask for pictures because the queen was not feeling well – a claim that Angela Levin has rebutted. Levin said that, “Harry and Meghan wanted to see the Queen as soon as possible, so she saw them on the first day,” she claimed.
“She went in, and then they asked if they brought their own photographer and they asked if he could take a picture of the two Lilibets, and she said, ‘No, absolutely not possible.’” The Queen’s communications secretary didn’t respond when The Post requested for comment about the conflicting reports surrounding “private” meetings.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Contract With Netflix Set For Doom?
Netflix reps are yet to say anything to confirm Levin’s claims. The self-proclaimed royal expert had previously told the MailOnline that the Duke of Sussex was “incredibly cheeky” when he asked the Queen to take a picture with his daughter, given her health issues and the many duties she had during the Jubilee.
Levin praised the palace “for being so clever and cunning that they never had a chance to be photographed with any of the senior royals.” She went on to explain that the controversial royal couple were sitting on the right-hand side while other royals — Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton — were seated on the other.
Another outlet, Page Six reported had previously reported that Harry and Meghan did not spend any private time with William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis. Meanwhile, Prince William reportedly declined an invitation from them to attend Lilibet’s first birthday party. Levin believes that the cold reception Harry and Meghan received will have serious ramifications for their streaming career as they signed on for a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix in 2020 after relocating to America.
“They would have used it [the photo] for Netflix,” she said. “It would give them a kudos that they had her with her great-grandmother, you know.”
Investigative journalist Tom Bower, Meghan’s biographer has also agreed with Levin’s sentiment. “The Sussexes’ contract with Netflix is in jeopardy,” he told the Daily Mail. “The veto of photos will fuel the Sussexes’ resentment. Harry’s reprisal could be more revelations in his book billed to be published later this year. This is a dangerous game for both sides.”
Levin also said that Harry and Meghan’s conduct during the Jubilee was a “very poor show … I think they felt that everyone [the royal family] would drop everything,” she said, and noted that following the snub, they “probably just went off in a rage.” Levin continued to say that, “I thought they were like petulant teenagers, really. If they didn’t get what they wanted, they would leave.
They did leave early. They left before the pageant on Sunday. They also didn’t go to anything else.” She continued, “They wanted to stay together as a family. I mean that’s a nonsense thing. You’re with your family the whole time, you don’t sort of use that as an excuse if you’re so close.”
Harry and Meghan were booed as they appeared at a Jubilee event at St. Paul’s Cathedral and they flew back to America on Sunday before the end of the celebration. Sources, however, said that the couple had always intended to attend two events and fly back to the US.
