Prince Andrew is reportedly trying to convince Queen Elizabeth II to give him his royal titles back.

Andrew’s image has been tarnished by the recent sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Giuffre. While that did end up getting settled outside of court, thus removing the need for it to go to trial, Andrew has suffered in the court of public opinion.
With that being said, the last thing you would expect to hear is Andrew trying to get his titles knowing the difficulty it would place the Queen under in light of the public reaction towards it.
However, the report stresses that Andrew wants his ‘Colonel of the Grenadier Guards’ title that was removed in January of this year. Not only that, it is also claimed that Andrew wants to attend Royal functions alongside other members of the family.
If these comments are taken to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, it is going to be very difficult to reconcile this especially since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been ostracised from the Royal family for much less.
Secondly, if Andrew is accepted back within the Royal family, there is a danger that the institution as a whole could suffer public backlash. And this was precisely the sentiment being expressed on social media.
A significant proportion of fans did not want to see Andrew anywhere near the public, with some even suggesting that this would be a slap in the face to all those other victims that had suffered at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein.
One person wrote: “These aristocratic adherents of elitism really are as stupid as they look. Get in the f***ing bin and stay there,” while another person stated: “His arrogance is breathtaking!”
