AEW Star Jeff Hardy Speaks To Stone Cold Steve Austin About His Sobriety Before Shocking DUI Arrest and AEW Suspension

AEW Star Jeff Hardy Speaks To Stone Cold Steve Austin About His Sobriety Before Shocking DUI Arrest and AEW Suspension

AEW star Jeff Hardy was arrested and charged in Florida for a DUI. Volusia County jail records show Hardy was booked early Monday morning and had a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit at .294. Cops were called about his ‘poor driving pattern’ from Hardy’s white Dodge Charger, which was driving under the speed limit.

Hardy, 44, recently came to AEW to rejoin his brother Matt and has been Swanton Bombing people like he never stopped doing it. He was scheduled for a ladder match with the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express Wednesday, but has since been suspended from AEW.

“Steve Austin and Jeff Hardy do a deep dive on The Charismatic Enigma’s epic Ladder Match against The Undertaker and why Hardy’s first WWE run ended shortly”

AEW Star Jeff Hardy Speaks To Stone Cold Steve Austin About His Sobriety Just Months Ago On Broken Skull Sessions

Strangely enough, just months ago in December of 2021, Hardy joined Stone Cold Steve Austin on his podcast, The Broken Skull Sessions, and discussed his famous ladder match with The Undertaker and why he was released the first time from WWE. Back in 2003, Hardy was released from the WWE and refused to go to rehab, believing he could deal with his own problems. However, those problems quickly caught up with him.

Watching him in this interview with Austin is a bit eerie, as he’s completely sober and looks back on what could have been, but because of drugs and alcohol, he never quite reached the pinnacle of what he could have been. He looks back on it almost regretful, and you can hear it in his voice.

However, little did he know that just months later, he would be arrested again for driving under the influence, suspended from AEW and potentially at the end of his career.

Jeff’s story is heartbreaking, and as a huge fan growing up, it’s tough to see your idols struggle as Jeff has. Even with every chance and opportunity, he has fallen back into relapses. I truly hope Jeff gets the help he needs, and if this is the end of his career, he will be remembered and is still loved even through all his faults.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Jeff Hardy and will he return from this relapse? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
