Duchess Camilla has opened up on her relationship with Prince Charles.
FANS BLAST Duchess Camilla For Disrespecting Princess Diana By GLOATING Over Her 17-Year Marriage With Prince Charles-‘She Has NO Shame’
The duo, for their part, have been married for 17 years which has been accompanied by numerous struggles. The most visible one was the fact that Charles and Camilla had an affair while the former was still with the late Princess Diana.
With that being said, the duo were not the most popular members of the Royal family in the eyes of the British public. And yet, that was not the only struggle the couple went through.
Camilla expanded on how the daily rigours of the Royal family make it difficult to spend quality time. But by making a conscious effort, it has only gone on to strengthen the relationship.
In an interview with British Vogue, she said: “It’s not easy sometimes, but we do always try to have a point in the day when we meet.
“Sometimes it’s like ships passing in the night, but we always sit down together and have a cup of tea and discuss the day. We have a moment.” Despite that being the case, not everyone has been convinced by Camilla.
A recent poll conducted this year suggested that a significant proportion of people opposed the idea of her becoming the Queen Consort. So much so that only 14% of people supported the idea of her taking up this role.
Jack Royston, who happens to be a Royal reporter, had this to say: “The point here is that the public doesn’t want it, the numbers are really clear, they might be less forceful in their opinion now than they were in the past.”
The response on social media was equally as hostile. A significant proportion of fans could not forget that Camilla had ultimately come in the way of Diana and Charles’ marriage.
One person wrote: “She has NO shame,” while another person stated: “This is a sick and selfish love. It took down tradition, a most beautiful kind spirited woman, and eventually divided her seed…. A selfish love, which destroys.”
