Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s meeting with Prince Charles during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee turned out to be futile.
Prince Charles LAMBASTED For Failing To Heal Things With Harry Despite Meeting During Platinum Jubilee-‘Diana, Were She Alive Today, Would Be Heartbroken’
According to reports, the couple were seen leaving Charles and Duchess Camilla’s home in Clarence House. It is claimed that the meeting had occurred in the aftermath of the couple being booed at the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St Paul’s Cathedral.
And in an attempt to avoid any media intrusion, it was hoped that all sides would be able to patch things up. And yet, it appears that the opposite happened.
Christopher Andersen, who happens to be a Royal expert, had this to say: “Prince Harry definitely went there hoping for some sort of rapprochement, but there were no touchy-feely vibes coming back in his direction.
“So I think the curtain has come down.” After having been reportedly met with that pushback, Christopher expanded on how the late Princess Diana would have taken this.
Not only did Charles have an affair with Camilla, which did damage the family unit, the fact that he has not managed to smooth things over with his son is something that Diana would have been devastated by.
After all, Diana had also spoken about her own struggles in the Royal family which is something that Harry has done too. He added: “Diana, were she alive today, would be heartbroken by this.
“She would have understood why Harry would have wanted to make his own life and wanted to go to California.”
The fans on social media were not impressed by Charles’ conduct. This was especially in light of Father’s Day, which only highlighted how much he had failed in his duties to reunite his family.
One person wrote: “This is for Princess Diana. Happy Father’s Day to everyone except Prince Charles?” With the Royal family still divided, what will it take for Harry to be accepted back? So there you have it folks.
