Meghan Markle has been praised for comforting the nephew of a teacher that was recently killed in the Texas school shootings at Robb Elementary School.

The tragedy had reportedly killed 19 children, as well as two adults, at the hands of the defendant Salvador Ramos. And one such teacher that was killed went by the name of Irma Garcia.
And it was his nephew, John Martinez, who recalled how the Duchess had gone out of her way in order to make sure that he was fine through a very personal phone call.
In a post to his followers on Twitter, he said: “The way my mom just got off the phone with Meghan Markle … the Duchess, she’s so sweet and lovely, she really went out of her way to check on the family, it means so much.”
This report is in contrast to earlier claims that Meghan had arrived at the Texas memorial on the basis of a publicity stunt.
She was called out after she placed white flowers at the memorial, which just so happened to be within the presence of photographers, as well as the fact that she had not visited her father Thomas Markle who was in hospital at the time with a stroke.
And yet, John’s account would seem to suggest that Meghan was not doing it for clout. And this was the sentiment that was being expressed on social media. A certain subset of people were of the view that Meghan was getting unfair treatment.
One person wrote: “Thank you for sharing how gracious and generous Meghan is. In today’s climate of fake news and misinformation, your personal testimony is so relevant and important.”
While another person stated: “Yup, that’s Meghan. She’s is genuinely a very caring person. Thank you for sharing this.”
