Harry And Meghan ‘Congratulated’ On Being Financially Independent From Royal Family As Couple Are On Course To Become BILLIONAIRES
The couple’s exit in 2020 raised a lot of question marks, especially over how the duo were going to sustain themselves by not being able to rely on the funds of the Royal family.
After all, Meghan was hardly a major actress in her own right. Meanwhile, Harry had to adjust to the lack of royal funds at his disposal. And yet, deals with Netflix, and Spotify are just some of the ventures that the couple have been engaged with.
And they have allowed the duo to have some form of financial independence, which has aided their transition into the US by settling down in ‘Santa Barbara.’
A source confirmed as much: “[They] should be congratulated on achieving their goal.” It is not exactly clear how much the couple have managed to earn, but previous reports indicate that the wealth is quite substantial.
One such report had claimed that the couple were on course to become billionaires. While that was a long-term projection, the very fact of the matter is that this would not be a bad return on a decision to walk away from the Royal family.
Robert Watts, who is responsible for the annual Sunday Times Rich List, previously said: “I think it’s possible that in ten years’ time, Prince Harry and Meghan could make it on to the Sunday Times Rich List with £500 million and £1 billion.”
The response on social media was fairly positive. A certain subset of fans were glad to see that the couple had managed to achieve their goals, unlike other family members who were still relying on the institution.
One person wrote: “I fully agree, good on them. Unlike that parasite Prince Andrew of course.” Time will tell if Harry and Meghan do end up hitting the magical one billion mark. So there you have it folks.
