Since arriving in AEW, Samoa Joe has already been able to make an impact. He claimed the ROH World Television Championship from Minoru Suzuki, made the finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Cup, and has been feuding with Jay Lethal. However, once he finishes his feud with Lethal – his next opponent might be waiting, as Miro wants to test the legend in the ring.
Miro Wants To Wrestle Samoa Joe & Wardlow
During a recent interview, Miro would get a chance to speak about two men he would love to face in the ring for AEW. He’d be quoted saying the following about Wardlow & Miro.
“I respect Samoa Joe, a lot. He’s such a legit ass-kicker that I would love to face him and have that classic, put that meat to work. Wardlow is the young guy of the group. He’s got a lot more to learn, he’s big, he’s strong, he’s got the audience behind him, but there is a difference between being on the road for 10, 12, 15 years and doing it consistently. He’s got the powerbomb symphony or whatever you call it, but once you test yourself against one of these big guys like me or Joe, who you have a hard time to pick up for one of your powerbombs, then plans change, my friend. What’s your second move? What’s your third move? That’s where the challenge for him is going to come.”
Right now, Wardlow is set to challenge Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship in a Street Fight, scheduled for the July 6th episode of AEW Dynamite. Miro is a former TNT Champion, and has recently claimed the belt has ‘gone to shit’ after he lost the belt to Sammy Guevara. It’s possible we get a feud over the TNT Championship between Miro & Wardlow, which would be the first time Wardlow would be truly tested by someone who matches him in power, as Miro eclipses him in skill.
The most recent big match from Miro was the All-Atlantic Championship match at Forbidden Door, which saw PAC come out as the winner.
