The Family Chantel couple Pedro and Chantel Jimeno have split and their divorce proceedings have been confirmed. Now, news is getting to fans that Chantel is accusing her estranged husband of domestic abuse. The duo’s divorce case already involves restraining orders and claims of Chantel taking their money from their joint account.

In the fourth season of the show, fans saw that Chantel and Pedro had communication issues, as Pedro treats Chantel coldly and cruelly. He also made it clear that he doesn’t want to spend time with her, so fans were not shocked when they heard the news that Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel on May 27 after stating that they’ve split since April.

However, fans are in shock after finding out that the duo filed for restraining orders against each other. Chantel has also come forward with abuse claims. ET has documents showing that Chantel accused Pedro of “cruel treatment” that includes “physical domestic violence, as well as mental pain.” She also made it clear that they can never work things out.
“The marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation,” she stated in the documents which also reveal that she is asking the court to equally distribute their marital debt. Chantel also asked the court to compel her estranged husband to return her cell phone and backup storage for her phone and computers.
TMZ had earlier reported that Pedro filed a motion in May because his estranged wife allegedly withdrew $257,000 from their joint business account. He said that she put the money in an account that she shares with her sister Winter Everett. Fans are expecting the duo to comment publicly about the divorce proceedings, but neither of them have.
However, many supporters of Chantel have stormed Pedro’s page to show how angry they are. Although they have not seen him physically assault Chantel, viewers know that he was involved in a family argument with her younger brother, Riverknight that turned physical. Fans watched the two men infamously throw fists in a physical fight.
