Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their duties as senior members of the Royal Family, they have become interesting people to talk about. What is most interesting about the couple of late is the nickname that has been added to Meghan’s list of nicknames.
Meghan Markle Is Now “Princess of Montecito”
After Meghan and Harry got married, they began to make claims about Meghan suffering from racist members of the Royal family; during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, she revealed that while in the UK, someone had made a comment about her son—Archie’s skin color. Harry knew what his mother, Princess Diane, had gone through at the hands of the paparazzi and how it affected him. He could not have his wife go through that. Hence, in 2020, the couple announced that they were leaving the Royal Family.
Although they had initially settled in Canada, they made a final move to the United States and found a permanent space in California. A close source mentioned that the move was well thought out as they wanted to be close to where the Hollywood happenings were. “They have a big support network there. It’s where their new team of Hollywood agents and PRS and business managers are based,” the source said.
As they are no longer working royals, they do not have access to certain benefits proffered to royal family members. Hence, it is understandable why the couple have now focused on making a living in the entertainment industry. So far, the couple’s stay in California has been quiet and uneventful. However, sources have claimed that Meghan now has a new nickname as the “Princess of Montecito” by her fellow Californian dwellers due to her snobbish and hideous demeanor.
A source revealed to Closer magazine that, “if she’s going into Beverly Hills or West Hollywood for lunch or dinner, she generally calls ahead and requests a table that is completely secluded.” The sources also added that the Duchess liked to dine in places that were not well-known until recently when she started visiting places “like Subset Tower, Sugarfish, or Lucky’s steakhouse in Montecito” as recommended by Oprah Winfrey.
