We’re about a week out from the latest Ring of Honor PPV, the second one of the year, and second of the Tony Khan era. Death Before Dishonor is already shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year, and one you won’t be able to watch on HonorClub. Ring Of Honor’s on-demand service will be undergoing some hefty changes soon, as revealed by a recent press statement.
HonorClub Is Being Revamped
During a press release hyping up the upcoming PPV, we’d get the following information about the future of the HonorClub streaming service.
“Ring of Honor is also currently revamping its HonorClub program with enhanced elements and functionality. During this ongoing transformation, there will be a pause on accepting new memberships. Current memberships (as of July 16, 2022), will be extended at no additional cost until the refreshed HonorClub platform is launched in early fall 2022. Fans will be able to subscribe to HonorClub for a monthly fee of $9.99. New HonorClub content will become available 60 days after the events happen live.”
With content being locked for 60 days, it’s highly likely we will see plans for ROH to return to TV very soon, possibly as part of the PPV broadcast even. There’s even a chance that this service will be used to host AEW programming as well, but that’s yet to be seen. Tony Khan has previously stated he was working on finding a home for Ring of Honor TV, and has more than enough wrestlers under contract to support another company using AEW talent alone.
