Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not attend Balmoral this summer, despite earlier reports indicating that they had been invited.
Harry And Meghan Will Not Visit Balmoral As The Queen Is Fed Up With Them-‘Harry And Meghan Are On A Course To Cause As Much Problems As Possible’
Reports indicated that the couple had been invited to visit Queen Elizabeth this summer. The couple did not manage to appear last year due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic.
While that may have been the case, there will be no presence this time around. After all, their recent appearance at the Jubilee showed that the Royal family were not exactly on the best of terms with them.
The monarch had reportedly banned the couple from being able to photograph her meeting with Lilibet. Not only that, but it appeared that their meeting with the Queen only lasted 15 minutes.
This clearly indicated that both sides were not keen on being in each other’s company, irrespective of the busy Jubilee schedule. And yet, there had been hopes that they would attend.
In his comments, Royal photographer Chris Rae said: “She has invited Harry and obviously Meghan because he’s still her grandson. People are saying this is an olive branch, trying to keep the peace and everything else.”
In reality, though, this is not a surprise for the following reasons. They did end up leaving the Jubilee before its conclusion, while Prince William and Kate Middleton rejected the couple’s invite for Lilibet’s birthday.
And with so much tension between the royals, Harry and Meghan’s intentions have been questioned. Chris’ following comments confirmed as much: “I just think Harry and Meghan are on a course to cause as much problems as possible.”
Time will tell how this all plays out going forward, but based on everything that we have seen so far, it is fair to say that Harry and Meghan have been cut off.
They made the decision to leave the Royal family, and with that, they have to accept the consequences. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
