Kazuchika Okada is on top of the A-Block, while Jay White rules the B-Block. Tonight they clash in an eight man tag team match, with Okada teaming up with YOSHI-HASHI, David Finlay, and Ryohei Oiwa – while White is bringing Gedo, Chase Owens and Juice Robinson.
Robinson is hot off a loss to Finlay, before having his IWGP United States Championship stolen (despite Will Ospreay being the real champion) and might be keen on revenge tonight. Finlay is using that title as a ticket to get into the head of Ospreay, who he will meet in block action during this tournament.
BULLET CLUB Are A Well Oiled Machine Tonight
Okada wanted to start alongside White, while White wanted to crowd to break the rules and chant for Okada. This would allow Owens to strike from behind, but the double team attack wouldn’t last for long. YOSHI-HASHI & Robinson would get tags, and Robinson would mouth off to Finlay before taking a chop.
With his focus in the right place, Robinson would beat YOSHI-HASHI into the corner. He’d lose control, and get draped over the top rope before taking a big dropkick. Finlay would stomp Robinson into the corner, before grabbing the armbar. Ryohei Oiwa would get the tag, before following a back elbow smash from Okada with a running dropkick.
Boston Crab would be applied to Robinson in the middle of the ring, but would not get the submission. Oiwa was thrown out of the ring and into the arms of Jay White, who drove him right into the barricade. Back in the ring, Owens would beat down Oiwa with the backdrop, before tagging White into the match. He’d berate the referee and lift him by his shirt, before some knife edge chops.
Gedo would hit the elbow drop for a two count, before Oiwa looked for a tag and White would stop that in its tracks. Oiwa would nail Owens with a big dropkick, before White hit the ring with Bladebuster, before a senton from Robinson and a knee from Owens. Okada would break up the pinfall – but Oiwa was left in the ring and took the C-Trigger to end this match.
Suzuki-gun will ride together tonight, as Lance Archer, Dangerous Tekkers, and TAKA Michinoku team up to face down Los Ingobernables De Japón. Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, Shingo Takagi, and BUSHI will all hit the ring tonight. This is as evenly matched as a match can get – with both BUSHI & TAKA Michinoku the potential weak links to protect tonight.
Archer would stand and intimidate L.I.J while they pose, before getting started with Shingo. A running shoulder tackle would barely register on Archer, before he’d go for a chokeslam. Shingo slipped free and would be taken down with a crossbody splash. SANADA would be driven into the barricade on the floor, as Archer would punch away at the face of Shingo.
Taichi & ZSJ would work to break down Shingo, before a three way boot choke in the corner. BUSHI would try for the save, before getting beaten down and choked. Naito & ZSJ would take the ring, before some deep arm drags and a sliding dropkick from Naito. ZSJ would grab a cravate, before Naito broke free.
BUSHI & TAKA would face off in the ring, before SANADA got the tag and took a knee to the side of the face. TAKA would try for the pinfall with a few different attempts, before Skull End was applied for the finish.
